FSU fans in my section...

I was at the Miami game in 2010 where we lost and their fans were jack-arses. FSU fans made them seem like gentlemen. The idiots up in the poor people section by my wife and I were chanting and chopping while Spencer Shuey laid on the ground hurt. The jerk behind us had a stupid comment like "Drop the ball Sammy Potkins!" every 10 seconds. I am sure it could have been worse, but they were classless. Nothing like Clemson Tiger fans! Thanks to everyone there that showed we at least out classed them.

Yeah, its always comforting to know that our fans consider themselves "much classier" that those fans from a team that just beat us like a two-day rented mule!

not so fast with the classed out

I witnessed several arguments between clemson fans late in the game about people leaving and what not. A near fight broke out among two fraternity brothers who were sitting next to each other. An elderly woman was yelled at for not standing and a clemson fan threatened to hit an FSU fan with his seat cover, even went as far as to feint the motion of it.
we were all so jacked and then we had nothing to pull for so the energy turned to anger

I beg to differ. IMO, Clemson has the most obnoxious rednecks, and South Carolina has the most obnoxious drunks. UGA has the absolutely most abusive and thuggish fans, drunk or sober!

I had a different experience. There were only 5 or 6 FSU fans in my general vicinity (lower deck South) and they were all just fine. The two right in front of me didn't even cheer when FSU did something great (which, as we all know was very frequently). When one of our players was hurt they were silent and clapped when they left the field. I'd say for the most part they just tried to disappear in the crowd and not bring attention to themselves. Maybe it was because they were in the middle of all Clemson fans and felt isolated or maybe it was just because the Clemson fans around them were chatting and friendly with them before the game (myself included) but I had absolutely no problem with any of them. Put it this way - I had twice as many SC fans around me for their game last year and they were *ALL* obnoxious as h-e-l-l. No comparison whatsoever.
I did see one particularly vocal FSU fan get escorted out of the Westzone section right before kickoff for jawing with Clemson fans right next to him. I think he must have threatened someone because he had two security guards on him in minutes. He tried to act like everything was cool when they arrived and pleaded to stay in his seat but they weren't listening and took him out. That's got to seriously suck for someone to come that far and pay that much to miss the whole game.

### is wrong with people?
One was kicking cups of coke on people, they were smoking and another threw a Dasani water bottle, filled with water, into the lower stands.

Themselves for the most part. Very respectful almost to a fault. I told one couple that it was ok to cheer some...nice people.
I remember the Miami fans too...the FSU fans I met were nothing like that.

Every single FSU fan I encountered was 100% class

I tailgated with a few that I didn't know and sat near a BUNCH of them.
Every single one of them were as good as I've ever encountered. That includes prior FSU games when my experience was NOT the same.
Honestly I think they were even feeling a little bad for us. And they were as shocked as we were.

I tailgated with my FSU neighbors, who are very good friends. We left at the half and I left my daughter (with adult friends) at the tailgate because she was practically asleep. I took my son (10) and my neighbor and his daughter (12) back in and we sat in my seats. The Tiger fans next to us were very good about dropping the F bomb and and chopping with their middle fingers. I didn't apologize ... it's football and folks are going to be that way. I prepped my kids and he prepped his. Not sure what you were expecting.
