So you have to look at the body of work that a team puts together. Is a mid-major that beats the #1 ranked basketball team a better team? Or were they just better that day?

put us in the acc title game.then we won the acc title game thus earning an automatic bid to the orange bowl.by that logic we should just skip playing duke,nc state and maryland because on paper we are better than them.even if we lose we will be better than them.

All I said was that NC state is not a better team than Clemson or FSU. And the fact that they have a worse record than both supports my point. Anybody can beat anybody, which is why they play the game. But that does not mean that the victorious underdog is a better team than the losing favorite
