33-50-2 vs GT 13-20 vs FSU

FSU - between them and Miami - changed college football forever by putting more emphasis on getting speed on the field. Which BTW, where was any SEC schools then? Miami and FSU dominated the landscape for a good 15 - 20 year span! Florida when Spurrier arrived and implemented the forward pass started dominating the SEC and joined Miami and FSU as permanent figures in the top 5.
GT and Georgia being in a state of 10 million and being the only P5 shows in town should be ashamed. Kids from Georgia have helped Clemson a ton so I can't complain a bunch, LOL! But, when football was played in a phone booth(between the hashes mostly) the team with the biggest most powerful DL/OL usually won. More than likely Clemson couldn't get enough big ole DL/OL to compete with the rambling wreck. Again, twice the people to pick from. Back then recruiting wasn't as borderless; so you figure a state with half the population and two p5 schools going against a states school with double the players to choose from(in theory) would have a distinct advantage in phone booth football era.
Wild theory and it doesn't take anything away from GT. Good for them! But, wins over Clemson before I was alive don't count """""To ME"""""""""" to the record books, yes! Luckily historical data doesn't win games in any new season or Michigan would be National Champs every year now!
Thank the Lord we have an opportunity each year to chip away at both these records is how I see it.

Yep! The same could be said for the Georgia series. Far more in Athens and Augusta! I guess the Augusta thing was supposed to be like how they have Florida vs. Georgia in Jacksonville. In some ways I hate that didn't work out. Would give a reason to go by Fort Gordon to visit some old pals, LOL! But, yeah, when you go back and look at the circumstances it's a no brainer about who should have had the advantage. I am "NOT AMAZED" by their series lead as a result!

And the same with playing Cootlumbia, except with them, Clemson still won more than they lost.

It’s interesting that GT has zero weeks ranked #1 in the AP polls.
