Point of No Return Conference Poll

May 20, 2012, 7:16 PM

Recognizing many Tiger boosters are undecided about conference affiliation until more facts are known and many have strong feelings about the best conference affiliation for Clemson, there is a point of no return when our administration will have to make a decision.

Based on these scenarios, what is your preference:

What would it take for you to believe Clemson is best served to leave the ACC?    [Results]

Ready to leave now. Swofford, equal football revenue share with Duke, hoops conference. Enough said.
Willing to leave ACC alone and couple with Louisville to join Big XII for $3MM more per year. More may follow.
If FSU and Clemson are package deal with $3MM more per year, bye-bye ACC.
If FSU and two of MIA, GaT or VaT leave, it is time to go if dollars make sense.
Need to know whole picture. If stars align and Big 12 creates East Div. with Clemson, FSU, MIA, GaT, Louisville, and maybe even ND then I count me in.
Not interested in Big 12 due to distance. If SEC would offer FSU and Clemson, it's a different story. Then good-bye ACC.
ACC founding member born and bred. Will die ACC member for tradition and academics. $$ be dammed.

80 - 90% of poll respondents ready to leave ACC for Big 12

May 20, 2012, 9:58 PM

under the right financial terms according to small sample of 100 T-Netters responding to poll to date.

If anything, the response says T-Netters' perspective on Big 12 and/or desire to depart the ACC has grown stronger over the past two weeks.

Looking for many more wrinkles over the next two months as this plays out ...
