I wouldn't call it a complete game at all considering we

Oct 28, 2012, 7:06 PM

had a 40 plus pound/man advantage on our OL but still could not run the ball and our offense was nonexistent the entire 3rd quarter. I'm glad we won, but our OL blows and we are incredibly soft.

Wake attempted to take away the run and force us to pass. So we did. Our O line isn't soft. It's average.

I disagree with pretty much everything he says

to call our team soft considering the fact that we only lost to FSU, whom we were having our way with is ludicrious. Soft teams fold under pressure. We haven't folded all year dispite injuries, suspensions, etc.

Ohh, LowClass RatBastard, why don't we arrange a get

together for you to ask 8 guys if they agree - Why don't we ask Coach Caldwell if you can sit in on the next O-Line meeting and see if those guys agree they are soft, since EVERYONE does/

Water the Point Tree

Do you ever post anything positive about Clemson?

Oct 28, 2012, 8:58 PM [ in reply to Our OL is SOFT. Our team is SOFT. And everyone I talk to ]

I know we are likely not a top ten team. I get it. We have a lot of problems on D and we haven't had a good short yardage smash mouth running game / o line since the eighties. However, this team is fun to watch, they are defending ACC champions AND they are class acts.

Give your negativity a rest.

"Gamecocks aren’t ready to take college football by storm just yet. They’re not even ready to compete in their own state – Clemson will still own the territory. Gamecocks fans would be smart to keep their heads buried until that time. Avoid talking trash to a much better Clemson program.” -Dustin Tackett

I don't talk no junk about our players never. And I don't talk much junk about our coaching staff. And I don't talk much junk to T-Netter's unless you're a coot, and they are out of place on T-Net any way. But 40 to 50 lbs a player across the line bigger than Wake's D line. We did look horrible and soft running the ball against Wake. I hate thinking and saying it, but we did. And that one LB for Wake was harassing Tajh about the whole game. I just hope that our guys aren't getting to relaxed the way they did last year down the stretch. Our Tiger's have the best season in a very long time a head of them if they don't become complacent. If our guy's finish this season with the best they have to give. We can't ask for more than that. If they will do a gut check and give us 110% of what they do have to give. A 11/1 season gets us one more step closer to our ultimate gold, that Crystal Football. That is the best feeling ever for a Clemson Tiger. I know that to be the best feeling ever b/c, I've already experienced it once!!!

He didn't say great win but complete win

Oct 28, 2012, 7:54 PM [ in reply to I wouldn't call it a complete game at all considering we ]

Offense and defense did was they had to do and both preformed well. Considering that AE only had 16 carries I don't know that we couldn't have run the ball if we didn't force the issue. Watched the replay and we did get some positive runs at times but went away from them just as quickly. When you're playing a team that is stupid enough to allow Sammy to get wide opn for 2 50+ yard catchs and every other reciever has a match up advantage go with what works which is the pass.

That being said the OL has regressed a bit these alst few weeks.

especially considering we only really had 1 returning starter

OL Line has play very good, except for the last two games.

Oct 28, 2012, 8:00 PM

The last two games we have missed a lot of blocks allowing defenders in the backfield, I think its the tempo to me we have slowed down some to me, from what we were doing at the beginning of the season. If we can get the tempo up to what it was the O-line will be just fine, but if the tempo doesn't speed up some expect more missed assignments and defenders in the backfield which some of the sacks are on Boyd thinking to much and holding on to the ball to long, but if Morris cleans all that up, which I think he will we should be just fine. On the Defensive side of the ball I think the LB's have been playing better, Adam played well at CB the little time he saw at CB against Wake as did Cortez, Goodman and Crawford have played better the last two games if the D can get everyone on the same page and get everyone playing at the same speed our D would not be so bad, hoping they continue to improve each game.

Andre Ellington has a tendency to

Oct 28, 2012, 8:03 PM

out run his blocks. He plays fast and sometimes doesn't read or follow blocks correctly.I have noticed it the past few weeks.I think thats why his numbers are down, plus teams stacking the box.He hits the hole as hard as any back in the country for his size though. Our line isn't soft and neither is the team.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Some of our fans sound like coots nowadays.

Oct 28, 2012, 8:24 PM

I am proud of our team. I'll take where we are at because I'M ALL IN! Like Dabo said we have a chance to have another special season. I'll 7-1 right now. Chance for another BCS Bowl. Dang why can't some of you be happy!?
