Front Page Story: Kearse comes up big for Clemson defense with interception and forced fumble

Kearse comes up big for Clemson defense with interception and forced fumble

Freshman safety Jayron Kearse was a key part of two turnovers Saturday afternoon at Virginia, fueling a 21-0 Clemson run to end the first half, and he said he wanted to make another play after his second quarter interception. What does he say he saw that got him fired up? What does he say about his bloodline? Full Story »

kid is a ballhawk and will only get bigger and stronger

we haven't had a ballhawking safety since Dawk was back there as far as i'm concerned. This kid has that X factor and i hope he stays focused and healthy because he can be an absolute beast back there.

Hope his baptism by fire is coming to an end

Could be huge in SC game. A pick 6 off Shaw would be nice!***

A few pick 6's from Shaw would be great. I think that beating the coots would have been kind of easy the first of the season. But they have been playing decent FB here lately. I wish we could have gotten Mike Davis b/s he really seems to be the work horse RB we have needed for a while.

I love the way that Kearse plays centerfield. He could be a strong assess against the gamecocks. Spurrier is very good at watching the safeties during the game and as soon as the safety moves from the center of the field, no matter what, he will call a post pattern, in which, usually results in a touchdown. Keeping Kearse in the middle of the field will be essential.

not to hear talking heads say things like, "Clemson's depleted secondary", or "often maligned defense". How about, "run-stuffing"; "QB sacking"; "ball hawking" and last but not least "nothing gets past these Clemson safeties". GO TIGERS!

Just think when he has a full off-season of training and conditioning under his belt. This kid is going to be an eye opening ballhog and a beast of a run-stopper. Awesome job to see so many true freshmen performing and making an impact not only in the secondary, but throughout many other areas on this team. Just imagine if Alexander & Dye would have stayed healthy. I feel like these kids would have made a tremendous impact against Fsu. These kids when healthy can and will compete similar to the freshmen who comtributed during Fsu and Miami game this past week. Can't wait to see these kids contribution in the near FUTURE. LOOKS BRIGHT!
