From the Cooterville Gazette...Lawsuits

Dec 3, 2020, 7:03 AM

The University of South Carolina failed to protect students and faculty from a professor repeatedly accused of sexual misconduct, two new lawsuits allege.

David Voros, a professor of studio art, previously was sued by a former student alleging he made unwanted sexual advances on her and forced her to do manual labor during a study trip to Italy.

The new allegations — filed by Voros’ former coworker Jaime Misenheimer and Pamela Bowers, Voros’ ex-wife who also worked as a professor in the School of Visual Art and Design — had not been available publicly until the suits were filed.

Misenheimer and Bowers, who reference each other in their suits and filed them on the same day last week, allege Voros sexually harassed them and others at USC and retaliated against them for reporting it. The suits name USC as a defendant and accuse the university of not adequately responding to their complaints and preventing further misconduct from Voros.

“We’re extremely disappointed with how the university has handled these cases,” said Elizabeth Bowen, one of the attorneys representing both women in their separate suits. “The university is on notice about the concerns and complaints about Voros that have been submitted.”

Dang.I was expecting something along the line of a lawsuit by a coot fan who felt he didn't get his money's worth with the football team.
Now that would be "front page " news.
Of course the Gazette has only one page.
The back of the front is left blank for doodling during those games.

I teach some online college classes these days on a part time basis. I am never on the campus but had to take a sexual harassment training course thanks to jack ashes like this joker. Schools have all these rules and reporting but jokers like this still seem work around this and flourish.

I think everyone gives those classes these days. If you are in management it is hard to try and be fair to your employees. You will be scared about sexual harassment. I was over around 50 women one time and I had an Asian lady that always made he production and never had any rejects. Some times there would be a job that required 2 women so I asked the Asian who she wanted to work with and it was always a young lady that was fast. The other ladies accused me of having sex with the younger women because that wanted to work with the Asian lady. That was a big mess.

Back in the day...

...when a lady was harassed by a jerk, she gave him a good 'ol slap in the face and that usually took care of the problem.

Message received.

A former president, wimminz basketball coach, and wimminz soccer coach were also "alleged" to have made unwanted sexual advances on students and/or student athletes.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
