Former Clemson player announces new school

OF/LHP Camden Troyer announced he is heading to Liberty to play after entering the transfer portal at the conclusion of this season. He was a first-year freshman last year and an all-state selection out of Powdersville. Troyer made eight starts in 18 games, hitting .184 with two home runs and 11 RBIs in 38 at-bats. He did not appear on the mound.

Good Luck, I wish him well! Sorry he's leaving--didn't think Monte's staff used or developed his talents last year. Of course, I'm not a qualified expert, and he was still a freshman. But sorry he didn't feel he could trust the abilities of the new coaching staff to developing him. However, from what I've read, Liberty should provide him a good environment to flourish!

He's a great kid from a great family. Liberty is where he was heading until CU came in with a late offer. Pretty sure several of his family members are Liberty Alum.

Yes they are. I was bummed but not exactly sure this wouldn't have happened no matter what the situation.

If we Just lose he, Rice, Dylan and French... And just a couple commits, that would speak volumes too. Dylan and Jonathan were most likely transfers even if Monte stayed.
