True

$ talks

Dec 28, 2013, 2:22 PM

However I do see the new playoffs hurting them. They may be football members of the ACC sooner rather than later.

And when you get to keep all the cash, it is a lot better deal.

The ACC will probably make another bad deal with ND and give them special treatment....hope not

Could you imagine that conversation with a potential recruit

"Son, if we don't have a near perfect season, we'll just turn down any bowl invitiation. You won't get a trip, any bowl gifts, and your career could possibly end on the road against a service academy. Sound good?

I don't think the Pinstripe is a bad bowl at all.

Dec 28, 2013, 2:46 PM

Especially not for ND.

Man both these teams suck out loud. The lack of offense is terrible.

Can you say that without laughing? I cannot.***

to ESPN making them cookie cutter with their broadcasts. Miss the days when they were all on different networks and looked different in their presentation.

ND started accepting bowl bids 44 years ago (after the 1969 season). Nothing new here.

How many five star players does it take to suck?

Dec 28, 2013, 6:49 PM

It appears that N.D. attempted to answer that question this year.

9-4 sucks? No kidding. I would agree with you that 9-4 does not get one into NC discussion, but suck? Nope.

They actually could have waited for a better bowl selection. But early in the process they elected to take the Pinstripe. Probably a matter of wanting to play in New York.
