at the Vic Theater (I think). Not at all what I was expecting. They actually put on a really good show.
Saw John Fogerty during halftime of the 2015 Orange Bowl. The sound quality was horrible.

They're not really "headliners" at all. They're sort of an "indie-soul" variation of pop with a few horns. These made for halftime events are usually awkward - like Thanksgiving Day parade performances, imo.
Hard to believe that ol' John Fogerty is 77 years old. They released one of CCR's England concerts on Netflix, recently.
Travelin’ Band: Creedence Clearwater Revival at the Royal Albert Hall is a 2022 documentary film directed by Bob Smeaton. If you've got a good sound system on your TV, it's really good. Really good.
Sometimes, we all forget that "Father Time" is undefeated. Mick Jagger is 79. Ozzy is 74. Neil Peart is gone, and recently, Christine McVie, sadly.
There's probably some cool "new country" bands or pop variations out there, but the Orange Bowl's on a budget, lol. It's not really about the half time act, anyway. The sound system for the time that they're playing usually ain't great (as if that matters much for this type of show).
Most people want to potty, grab some food and a brew or two before the 2d half to watch Clemson get after another trophy. Getting a dub and celebrating, hopefully, makes the whole trip.

I have their Pickin' Up the Pieces CD (yep, old school) and I think, another.
"Breakin' the Chains of Love" is a good song, imo.
Love the saxophones/horns, and Michael Fitzpatrick uses an old church organ in a lot of their songs - which is pretty cool.
I loved watching the "Live at Daryl's House" performances. Unique venue and eclectic blend of artists.
Hard to believe that Daryl is 76, now.
His music is part of the soundtrack to a lot of our lives, the older folks.

As a younger person, I don't even know who they are. But I went listened to some of their songs and recognized some from commercials. Listened to some more and it all just sounds like commercial white girl beach music. In short, it's boring as f### and has no substance. They get tons of views/listens but that doesn't mean anything.
Edit: Just went back and listened to some from their older album from 2013 (More Than Just A Dream), and that wasn't too bad and actually had some juice to it. They definitely changed their sound after that album though sadly, which sucks because it was groovy. I guess they've just lost any mojo they had and sold out to big record corpa.

It’s more adult alternative. More for music fans over 40 or 50 and more discriminating fans under 30. Like you see a few kids at Iron & Wine, but the average age is probably in the 40s.

I have a hearing impairment that has me almost deaf. I have not listened to music since sometime in the 90's. Thankful I can't hear today's musicians. Don't watch there videos. I must be too old and have better thing to do with my time.

Probably not for you old cats but I like the line up.
Fitz is probably one of the more likeable acts to come through the 2010s and Chris Lane has some solid songs that should satisfy the average modern day country fan.

From the posts, its clear to see the demographics of many posters - Pining for music from when you were young in 70s and 80s and not giving credit to modern bands. OB booked a group that plays instruments (horns section is great), has multiple hit songs, and puts on a decent live show. They got a popular country artist too. That said, still laughing at all the amateur promoters saying who they "should" have booked in these comments.
