According to 24/7, Clemson has only landed five 5 star WR recruits since 2001:
Roscoe Crosby
Sammy Watkins
Deon Cain
Tee Higgins
Airies Currie
It would be nice to land at least one per cycle but there shouldn't be cause for concern. OSU lands a lot of these 5 stars because Brian Hartline is a phenomenal positions coach and as much as we like to bag on the Buckeyes, there are definitely worse destinations to play football.
The Collins Boys are going to be very good, EJ and Ngata just may surprise some folks, and Adam Randall is going to be Mike Williams 2.0. Also, I strongly believe that both Will Taylor and Antonio Williams are going to make some jaws drop in the slot over the next few seasons. With a rejuvenated interest in TE involvement, Street continuing his QB hot streak, and some fresh blood coaching up the O-line, the offense should have no problem getting back to championship caliber in due time.
Stars aren't everything and history has shown us that the line between a 4 and 5 star player is thin, at best. Go Tigers!

Roscoe played hurt a bunch his freshman year then tore a tendon in his elbow that summer playing baseball if my memory serves me correct. Roscoe could have been an all time great at Clemson at least, if things went differently for him. That guy went through a bunch in a short time.

Wait I thought TNet was only concerned with 5* WR Recrcuiting...is this a bigger issue rampant through the WR room? All of recruiting?

but to have National title chances/hopes you must have the elite level 5stars in at least 2-3 positions per side of the ball.
During our 2015-2018 run we had 5stars on the Dline, QB, WRs, and at any given time some 5stars at DB/LB, but the "bread is buttered" having ELITE 5stars at DLINE, QB, & WR...........Four stars can put you in position and 5stars will put you over the top.
I personally have and always will prefer Rivals when it comes to recruiting.........since we started to become "relevant" in 2011 we've landed 7 5star WRs:
Sammy (no doubt lived up to billing)
Cain (probably ended up being 4star production)
Mcloud (5star athleticism and "different" for the WR position)
Higgins (5star for sure)
Ross (when healthy 5star)
Kendrick (5star player, but not at WR and not ending at clemson)
Ngata (haven't seen the 5star)
Bottomline is we need to "recover" our WR 5star recruiting and maintain our 5star QB/DLine gets.

Poor Ole Dabo. He can neither coach or recruit; according to most experts on this board.
I’ll bet he has a hard time sleeping at night. Unlike youse guys who stay up at night sweating over your keyboard while searching for the right combination to overcome Dabo’s lack of instinct on recruits and his lack of coaching expertise. Just think where Clemson would be if we had one of you football and recruiting experts at the helm.

We need to get some guys that can really play in this cycle though. Gonna need more than 1 cause depth at wr might be a issue if we dont. There's a 4 star wr from GA cayden lee that looks like a interesting prospect he has highlights on his twitter with Clemson mentioned, pinned on his twitter.
