For the Jack Leggett fans...

Mar 14, 2021, 11:55 PM

I just saw that he has written a book:

https://www.jackleggett.com/book/

I think it’s great that he has done this. Regardless of your thoughts on his tenure, his firing, etc., I’m sure this book contains some excellent stories and advice.

You should read it Brad. Might significantly improve your chances of making an Elite 8.

I could be a jerk and respond by saying that Jack has done

something Brad never will: be fired from a head coaching job.

But I won’t do that.

Yes. It is laughable that someone be selected to the Hall of Fame of their chosen profession. Isn’t everyone? As someone else put it, that was just for winning a bunch of games, he wasn’t really that great a coach.

Coach Leggett was a very good coach, he was somewhat stubborn in some of his recruiting & on field practices but Coach Leggett was good for Clemson. I met him a few times and have a close friend that helped at his clinics. He' wouldn't have coached on the USA team if he wasn't, that's an honor and privilege. Unless you actually knew him, coached or played for him I'm guessing this is just your opinion.

I agree with that. He was a good coach and accomplished some good things and put a pretty darn good team on the field a few years. I really wish he would have won “one the big one” , kind of tarnished his legacy with Clemson fans. He stayed a little too long. I met him in person a couple times at social events and he was a very personable and steely-eyed man

Wasn't he at Maine?***

I ordered one last week and I’m looking forward to reading it. I seem to be in the minority on Tigernet, but I have a lot of respect for Coach Leggett. Coach Wilhelm hand-picked him for a reason. And Tim Corbin, obviously a successful baseball coach, considers him a mentor. The program was undeniably in decline at the end of his (Leggett) tenure, but his total body of work speaks for itself. I only hope that Coach Lee can duplicate that kind of success...

all the love for Leggett now. He did well, seemed to run his course. Most everyone was done with him when he left Now all the love?? If you want to love one . let's bring back Wilhelm :)

At least Leggett got us deep into the postseason
