Who is this Robert MacRae with TCI?
He's been nailing his predictions lately.
First Montravius Adams is 90% Clemson bound and now he releases a completely bogus schedule that is going to be nowhere close to accurate.
I guess you get what you pay for with a free site.

Yep I'm bashing the guy that says this is what the schedule is going to be and it ends up not being the case.
I have no agenda, but he's proven to be inaccurate quite a bit lately, so I'm not sure why you would put any stock in what his "sources" say at this point.

Just don't see the point.
You are extremely incorrect on his recruiting info. I've followed his recruiting the last two years and he has been pretty dead on. As far as Adams, do you have any proof that he was NOT a strong Clemson lean before his visit that last weekend to Auburn? If you have no proof of that you are wrong.

to bash him, when he gives you news for free. The guy misses a couple times, yet is right 80% of the time, yet you want to find the one or two times he has been wrong and make it sound like he was wrong. Also to hear most talk, Adams was a lean to Clemson before going to Auburn

I think you may have missed a couple days in there. Also, what we know about the schedule so far is compatible with what he said. AND... he said it was a likely schedule. not THE schedule. Don't mistake rumor reporting for fact reporting. Unless of course its a fact that there are rumors.

For most I think the honest mistake is equating "reporting" with "facts". But in reality someone can "report" what someone close to a situations speculation is, especially with recruiting. This used to never happen because accuracy was the mark of a good reporter.
but with the Internet accuracy is not as important as hits. So writers are careful to phrase it in a way that creates conversation rather reporting the black and white. So these days you have to read carefully and maybe some people are just not used to that yet.
For others, they just need something to complain about so their life doesn't seem so bad.

I guess but he was pretty adamant that what he released was the schedule.
Went so far as to post another message saying "folks this is a great schedule..."
He even posted another message linking his "schedule" this morning after Will Vandervort posted a message saying the schedule would be released this afternoon.
As you would imagine it has since been removed along with his imaginary schedule.

I think people mistakenly took that schedule as "We're pretty sure this is what the schedule will look like" instead of "Look at this schedule: we think it's dang near perfect, what do you think?"
When I first saw it I was like "Holy Crap," but b/c I was like "Holy Crap" I figured out that it was just someone playing around...

Not the point.
I'll continue reading his free information but I've found it to be inaccurate recently and will take anything I read with a grain of salt.
This thread was intended as a response to people posting his "schedule" as if it is official when it was nowhere close to correct.

Once stories(I think WF messed up and posted schedules early, since taken down)broke of the actual schedule broke, Robert deleted his claims that he was right 8 days ago.
Sure TCI does some good stuff.
But the fact that they can't help it when it is wrong and he blames others(we are all wrong sometimes,man up , admit it) or that they continue to push up to 20 ads(most site managers tell you 3's the limit),making the site the slowest on Net, are 2 things that his sheeep don't like you talking about.H3ll I wouldn't advise going to that site without using Adblock. (sorry B Meist , I know you asked me not mention that around here, but we also talked about those crapload of ads over on TCI).

I think people were considering TCI a good source of information and posting what they saw there.
One thing is certain. We'll see the official, 100% accurate schedule at 3 PM today.

the only time I really check in on TCI much is right at the end of recruiting season. And during the last two weeks leading up to signing day, I check it out a lot; several times a day.
IMO, he has extremely good info at that time. The rest of the time (this far out), it's very hard to put any stock in anything, anywhere. It's just reading material and speculation at this point.

Post something 2 weeks ago and get it right he posts 15 times about how he is never wrong. "As we mentioned 2 months ago... Blah blah will blah blah"
Get it wrong either delete all evidence, claim it was just speculation even though you report it as fact if you were right. Or what irritates me the most is the "we know exactly what is happening but we can't report it for the good of Clemson"

I just don't care that much about it...and admittedly only follow during crunch time before NSD.
I do also see a lot of butt kissing from posters on there.
I have been very impressed with his recruiting info the last two years. I don't see how anybody can claim that he was "wrong" on anything he's said about these kids in these last couple of cycles even if he "missed" on a projection.
Adams is the only one I can remember where this might have happened these last two years, but Robert began reporting immediately that he started hearing conflicting info after Adams' visit to Auburn. He lowered the 90% prediction that weekend and even reported that Adams would be signing with Auburn before NSD.
His explanation on why he had Adams as 90% for Clemson before that weekend is very credible. He had been planning a special feature article with Adams following his signing.

His misses and hits correctly.
He has a great record, I agree.
However, for as much butt kissing as goes over on their boards, Robert comes across as his own biggest butt kisser. He treats his correct predictions as indisputable evidence of his all knowingness on all things Clemson, and considers his misses predictions as irrelevant because they were just rumors.

just don't follow it that much. What I have read, I feel he is clear to distinguish fact from opinion but like I've said I have a small sample.
I have seen him commend himself (brag seems a little strong) on being correct on something. But it has never bothered me.
What I can understand is that it could be irritating to have his "followers" coming on here and stating what he says as fact, but I still totally miss the point of bashing him on another site for what he may or may not have said.
He's offering his info for free...
which leads me to another question...how and why? He sure spends a lot of time doing it. Maybe I don't understand internet revenue, but I can't see how he is getting enough hits to make a great deal of money from advertising.
