Is the solution for the playoff.

If the unthinkable happens this weekend, would you really wanna see Northwestern, Pitt, Texas, and Utah in the playoffs?

If they win their conference then yes they deserve to be there under that format. Would I watch it? Hell no!

It's not about what I or you"want" to see. Why in this day and age do people always think they're subjective be if how things should be is the right way to go? If it's what I want to see and I'm kind football dictator why am I not doing the ranking? Why do we have strength of schedule and conferences? I don't mean to beat you up on here, it's just that people with laws do the same thing. Let's legislate from however we believe at any given moment. That's ridiculous. If a team does what is required through the way it's setup then yes. They deserve to be there. How I feel about it or how good the games are is irrelevant.

I think as you stated and the previous post, if that is the way it is, then they earned their spot.

I don't think there is a perfect scenario for how the playoffs are set up. I am not suggesting that I have a formula that would be better.

I just heard so much on the radio yesterday about how bad some of these games are and it got me thinking if the underdog were to win, then not only would the conference championships be bad, but that would kill the playoff.

In a scenario with Bama/UGA either winner is well deserving of the trip to the playoffs and I think most people agree.

I guess my point is that it's easy to say P5 winners and 3 at large when your team is likely to be the winner. If we did the unthinkable and lost and then didn't get an at large bid, we'd be trying to find a way for us to get in.
