Remind me again why they are in this league and what, if anything, they really bring to the table athletically !?!?!?!

They do have a ranked baseball team which doesn't bode well for the Tigs.

Well, when BC joined the ACC in 2005

they had won five bowl games in a row in football, and were a legitimate top 25 program.

In basketball, they had been in the NCAA Tournament three of the previous four seasons.

In men's soccer, they had been to the NCAA Tournament in four of the previous five seasons.

They offer a nice variety of varsity sports, and are also a good school academically.

I know trashing them is popular around here, especially since they are a "Yankee school," but their recent athletic success when they joined the ACC was far superior to ours.

They have made some bad coaching hires in the years since, which has hurt them. This is especially true since the ACC they joined was a stronger conference overall than the Big East conference they left.

It is going to take a lot for them to regain their previous success, but I think they are capable of doing it. They just need the right leadership in place in their athletic department that recognizes and hires the right coaches. There is a lot of athletic talent in the northeast, and not a lot of local competition for that talent other than Syracuse. The Eagles will figure it out.
