This is the exact reason why I hate the rhetoric between USC and Clemson about player issues. Bellamy, Kenny Flowers, Xavier McDaniels, We done smoked it Mcpuffy, Derek Watson, Demetrius Summers, the list goes on and on
All we can do is hope our schools are doing their best to screen these guys while recruiting them to see who is diva esque early on and pass on them because they usually end up being issues.
All we can do is pull for them once they become part o the team but hopefully they will go elsewhere otherwise they get our hopes up and we give them the love then they say screw the team screw the opportunity screw life in general
He had a chance with a caring concerned coaching staff and chose the wrong road. 2nd chance is necessary somewhere!

What do you mean you hate the rhetoric? If this was SCar he would have been playing already. Every team has player issues from time to time the difference is the way the coaches handle it.

Don't think it is something that needs to be discussed. I am sure it would reflect negatively on the player and not something that needs to be out in public if it isn't necessary.

Clemson small beautiful campus in the upstate. USC large downtown capital city.
more cops more news media, more people more issues. Simple as that. Clemson, UNC, USC, UGA all have the same issues some are able to keep them under wraps some are not due to location etc. Problems are everywhere with all college kids, not just football players. Very silly to say there are more issues at one school than another.
I think Sammy was the last player from either school arrested. that in itself is a pretty big deal for the state in general.
I actually don't know who from USC ahs been arrested since maybe Garcia keying a car or underage drinking.
there is no way to equate keying a car to an altercation with a woman and a bathroom towel rod and razor blade with both parties bleeding. that would have made national news if happened in a city but the track coach actually was able to handle the situation and charges were dropped.
If anyone on here were fighting and a razor blade and a towel rod were used with both parties bleeding when cops arrived both parties would have been locked up right away.
There are privileges in small town SC ask anyone who grew up in one. Mom knows the cop, dad works with the attorney, uncle is the attorney, grandfather is the mayor. That doesn't fly in other areas. I saw plenty of stuff while on campus as an undergrad at Clemson early late 80s early 90s

so much for that LinebackerU we though we had
Townsend- gone
Anthony- underachieved thus far
Steward- plagued by injuries, minimal playing time
Hopefully Anthony and Steward can still turn it around since they have 2 more full years here but as of right now, that "amazing" linebacker class from 2011 is looking mighty disappointing.
