I heard the same thing last year and seen all these guys play. Running for timed speed Sammy may nto be the fastest, but gametime their is no doubt. He's like a Porsche 0 to 60 in 4 seconds.

in straight line speed Jacoby was faster just like Martavis and Peake seem to be faster then Sammy but in terms of acceleration Sammy and CJ were specail. The ability to go from 0 to 60 in a blink of an eye is what truly matters in college. Urban Meyer said as much during the UNC game he said that college FB was about acceleration and Sammy is the best at that on our team

"Orange Air-Raid" or "Orange Jets" or "Orange Flash" and highlight all the gosh-darn talent we have at wide receiver at Clemson!!???? You could post pictures, videos, quotes, etc about each one of our receivers (and future receivers) and create a ton of buzz and attention to our best string of receivers ever at Clemson and continue this string for many years to come. Also, you could have "Orange Ground Attack" and highlight all our stellar running backs as well, with the same thing in mind. Also, "Orange Book Ends" with all the DEs we have coming and "Orange Backs", highlighting the linebackers, etc. Heck, sell t-shirts, memorabilia links to airfares, etc to make some money off the site....We, as Clemson Nation, need something to keep this momentum going ahead of other programs. Someone, please do it!!

open space and catching anything thrown his way. Acceleration is important and maybe that's part of how he gets that separation but those Sammy mits don't drop a lot of balls either.

I doubt there's anybody in college, or the NFL for that matter, who runs an official 4.2.
Chris Johnson holds the combine record and he only ran a 4.24.
Still a good way to compare, I suppose. And it's nice to see we have guys other than Sammy, Martavis, etc who can run.

40 time is quite different

like the other poster said. The 40 is just a linear race and doesn't account for first ten meters explosion.
I'm no expert but I can see this. Even in the 100m, Bolt was not out front the first fifty meters, but blasted the guys the last 50.
I used to be the fastest guy on my little league baseball team, but was not the best base stealer.
I'm surprised Dabo doesn't acknowledge any of this in proclaiming the fastest player, but I guess it's good marketing for the other players.
