Games are WON with defense. If you didn’t see a solid defense Saturday night from our Tigers you seriously lack a knowledge of the game. Both Georgia and Clemson showed outstanding defensive teams. This will keep both teams in the top five or six all season. I’m certain that the young quarterback will show improvement with each game. The next two games will allow the coaches an opportunity to see the number two QB and develop an offense around him if the need arises. I hope that we all can remain positive with this team. When the Tigers roll into Raleigh to play what likely will be a ranked Wolfpack team, they should be greatly improved offensively. The Tigers toughest game is behind them. Let’s not be critical of the team AND coaches. The very best is yet to come.

No, the defense can't be "pathetic", it has to be decent. The offense has to be able to score on any defense and be pretty elite.

ELITE offenses are king right now.

The last 2 playoffs games:

2019 LSU game: Clemson was #2 in scoring defense & LSU was #29. Clemson was #4 in scoring Offense & LSU was #1.

2020 Ohio State game: Clemson was #29 in scoring defense & Ohio State was #40. Clemson was #4 in scoring offense & Ohio State was #10.


you HAVE to score more than 25 & 28 against the #29 & #40 scoring defenses if you're truly a "top 5" offense.

If your offense is great and you score 50 points you lose if the opponent scored 51!
