8:57 mark....crazy to see hedges in outfield of baseball field, no indoor track facility, no indoor football facility, LittleJohn the way it looked back then, cars parked where the memorial site is across from the rock......campus has really changed.

was an awesome spectacle....got a large pic of it hanging in my man cave. Wish this footage could ba enhanced(?) as the colors have faded. There will probably never be a balloon display as that again at a Tiger game.

I helped blow up and tie a few hundred of those balloons as a freshman in 83. The release was pretty awe inspiring - a big orange cloud that blotted out the sun for a few minutes.

The task of blowingand tying up the balloons was pretty labor-intensive but it seemed like the entire student body piched in.
