round of World Cup Qualifying for the North and Central American and Caribbean region (CONCACAF). Jamaica topped Antigua and Barbuda 4-1, with Richards scoring the final two goals. His first was critical for the Reggae Boys for tiebreaking purposes because, even with a victory and Guatemala's 1-3 defeat by the USA, they were still tied with Guatemala on points. As a result of tonight's games, the US wins the qualifying group and Jamaica finishes second.
Both countries will face each other and 4 other CONCACAF countries in the final round of qualifying, a 6-team tournament that runs from Feb.-Oct. 2013. Three teams will then get automatic bids to World Cup 2014, while the fourth-place team will enter a playoff with the winner of the Oceania region (most likely New Zealand).
