What would you have done if a police officer

Apr 10, 2017, 1:28 PM

drug you off a plane, when you didn't voluntarily give up your seat.

I would be P!$$3D!! Not sure you can do much, besides take them to court for assault, loss of time, etc.

Moral to the story is do what you are told I guess. His lawyer will have a field day though.

I wouldn't have resisted, but I wouldn't have gone on my own

Apr 10, 2017, 1:45 PM

...and before long, I'd have first-class United seats to every Clemson away game for the next 5 years.

You are thinking too small

Apr 10, 2017, 1:48 PM

Think bigger. Like suing United for every penny they are worth. Hello my new Trinity Yacht.

Not big enough. Chicago PD is responsible for dragging him off the plane...and he's a minority. And a doctor who said he had patients to see at his destination. And said before they dragged him into a concussion that he was phoning his attorney. And then had passengers screaming in his defense. And then somehow managed to get back on the plane disoriented and obviously concussed.

This dude is about to CRUCIFY the Chicago PD AND United Airlines.

What about his patients? Could they sue? And what about the other passengers? This could be the biggest lawsuit ever.

Already being speculated by mainstream media. If he's a smart man, and his actions say he is, he'll have attorneys and anyone else looking to cash in.

Like I said, would have been cheaper for United to send another plane...hell maybe cheaper to build a new one.

Keep in mind, they were removing paying passengers with secured seats so that EMPLOYEES could board.

Would have been cheaper for them to send another plane for the four employees.

Hope he takes them for all they're worth.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm glad I'm not alone on this one...

Apr 10, 2017, 2:03 PM

If indeed a Doctor, he should have the mean's the hire the best lawyers money can buy. I hope he takes them for every penny he can.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Lawyers will take this without a penny from him

Apr 10, 2017, 2:07 PM

They will make 10% off the settlement, which will probably be tens of millions, if not more.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Snowflake Basher........Out

Very true, didn't think of that.

Apr 10, 2017, 2:25 PM

He'll have his pick of the best lawyer team in the business. They'll all be clamoring for his business.

I'm guessing they'll settle out of court to keep things quite as possible.

Maybe more? 10% of $100,000,000+ is pretty hefty though.

United handled this poorly and continues to handle it poorly

Apr 10, 2017, 2:08 PM

I fly a ton and have never seen this. I have seen a Delta offer as much as $1200 to passengers to take another flight. Apparently United waited until AFTER the plane was boarded (first mistake) and then maxed their offer out at $800. When they didn't have enough takers they forced them off.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They won't be able to pay people $800 to fly with them now***

Apr 10, 2017, 2:12 PM

Are saying that someone else is more important than him to fly. Who is that, an airline employee? Someone with more points? Airlines have been saying we are second class citizens for years, just more proof.

What's crazy is that first sentence. Haha***

Apr 10, 2017, 2:16 PM [ in reply to What's dvrazy is they already say him. So basically they ]

The overbook force out was so that United Employees for another flight could dead head. It literally can't get any worse for them unless the pilot was the one beating the passenger.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I would have been smiling all the way down the aisle as they
