The Thinning Of The Herd October 21st-28th Edition

My weekly reminder that College Football has a way of "thinning the herd"...to help those of you that continue to wallow in wonder of what will happen if more than 4 teams go undefeated (which, by the way, will not happen and hence my post). In fact, my point is already proven and I will soon start to focus on elimination 1 loss team from CFP contention.
Going into last week, we were down to 8 teams that were undefeated as we entered the 4th week of October. In last week's post, I took a stab that 2 undefeated teams would fall on Saturday and I undershot that by 1....as 3 undefeated teams bit the dust:
Ohio State: Our worries about your defense proved we did not worry enough.
NC State: You proved your schedule was the reason you were undefeated.
Cincy: The worst undefeated team in nation is now the worst 1 loss team in the nation.
We are now down to 5 undefeated teams with title chances (if you grant UCF and South Florida a chance))

Clemson (7-0) at Florida State (4-3)...Clemson will be favored more than any other time ever at Doak.
South Florida (7-0) at Houston (6-1)...Houston still has some of Tom Herman’s players.
Will Keep Winning....For Now
Notre Dame (7-0) at Navy (2-5)...when did Midshipmen start stinking at football?
Alabama has a bye
Central Florida has a bye.
We only have 3 games this week with a chance for a loss, but I still think we will thin one.
The real drama now is those Power 5 teams trying to stay at one loss....
We see you West Virginia, Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, Iowa, Kentucky, NC State, Washington State, and Texas.
The college football season has a way of “thinning the herd”....even beyond the land of undefeated.

FSU, upset alert? Really? FSU will try to make it a game but superior talent and coaching will be clear at games end. Depending on spread FSU could be spotted 14 point and a bettor would still be wise to pass on that game.

Wow - Scott, c'mon. You obviously did not watch that game. Cincy gave up 2 fumbles inside their own RZ, and missed 3 short chip-shot FG's. Cincy should have won in regulation by 1-2 TD's. Even though Cincy is not awesome like CLEMSON, they are pretty darn good IMO. So -I respectfully disagree with this.
