I believe you are behind. Talks are now about Clemson, FSU, Ohio State, and Michigan joining the SEC. Several outlets are reporting that these talks are pretty far advanced. I for one am all for this. Screw the ACC. We CDC walk and take FSU with us they become conference USA!????

Not me. I wish we could get A&M and Tennessee. Tenn. doesn't bring much to the table right now but they could in the near future.

But out of those four, only ND brings any credibility. West Virginia maybe some. UCF is a minor school who plays well but ultimately is another Wake Forest or BC. They average around 45,000 per home game. Similar with Cincinnati. Neither are huge market brands. Yes they have good teams and do beat Power Five programs from time to time. But in a conference full of minor programs, the ACC really needs some beef, not more white meat. When we added FSU and Miami, that was huge because both were huge brands at the time. BC not much and VT a notch above that. West Virginia would be similar to VT, and probably the best the ACC could do. ND will not join so forget that. But Penn State is a major player and draws 100,000 to home games. That is what the ACC needs. Will they move? Unlikely. But, it like the most beautiful girl in your school. She probably will not go out with you. But she absolutely definitely will not go out with you if you don't at least ask her.

People say Penn State would never leave the B1G, but there are some advantages to being in the ACC. They'd get more exposure to all of that Florida and Georgia talent. They might listen to the ACC if Notre Dame announced they were joining.

Ironically, there’s a bunch of writing about Penn State going to the ACC and there’s a ton of dread in Big10 circles that they WILL flip to the ACC.

I was reading an LSU message board that was discussing this as well.

And to add to that, Clemson isn’t joining the SEC, Big 10, or any other conference.***
