Is this clown serious? His obvious bias notwithstanding, I did a little digging on this "professor" and it seems he isn't very highly thought of in the academic world, either. He must have never thoroughly watched a football game before if he believes what Dabo said to Teasdall was an "eviscerating assault" that will "scar" Teasdall for life. Yet, this man claims to have played college football? I find that hard to believe.
What this boils down to is simple: This man is butt hurt over Clemson, to use a word he'll understand, eviscerating his Tar Heels, and his only recourse is to spew venom and vitriol at the opposing coach. That is both sad and very weak.

This is the type people that are teaching in our colleges and spewing
their liberal BS.If that little butt chewing ruined that young mans
life(i doubt),then there is a bunch of folks in our society that has
been damaged by Parents,Drill Sgts etc.Tea, take up for your coach
and tell this liberal low life that you will be just fine.

I have been a long-time Clemson fan, growing up in the shadows of Death Valley. I enjoy reading the posts on this board (or "bored" as the Netters proclaim). I finally had to breakdown and respond.
What a pious, self-absorbed excuse of a professor. All of his words are forced; it's almost as if he has his thesaurus in hand "whilst he is composing". Sure, those big words make him seem impressive, but they only show how shallow Dr. Nicol really is (I feel certain that he has a PhD in something, and loves it when he is referred to as "Doctor").
His entire diatribe feels forced, as if to wish for verbal retribution; a kind of "Fight Club" mentality. Write something, hiding behind your big words and even bigger credentials, eagerly awaiting the vicious backlash from the social media.
Dabo is passionate. Dabo is honest. Dabo is a motivator. Dabo is a darn good coach. It was selfish (and foolish) of Teasdale to not follow orders. Insubordination has no place on the football field, and his childish actions could have resulted in a loss for the team.
Teasdale knows this. Heck, we all know this. But Dabo took this opportunity to ensure this NEVER happens again. Believe me, Dabo knows that he is under the microscope; everybody is always watching (I actually saw Coach Swinney push a shopping cart all the way across the parking lot at Bi-Lo in Clemson, making sure the cart was put in it's proper place). He used this as another teaching moment, knowing that everyone was watching. He knew that this would soon become the topic at every dinner table, at Sunday School, and at every water cooler (brilliant).
So, Doctor, the take-home points are know your subject before you write about it, research your subject, and think before you publish.
You are a tiny man and your “macho” display carries the scent of cowardice. Pick a fight somewhere else.

Slap some Capon/ Tarhole brand Butthurt Ointment on that prolapsed, hemorrhoid ridden rectum of yours and get a few UNCheat players to actually attend class every now and then. That is the most lame, whiniest article I've ever read from someone who represents a university that DARES to judge others. UNC, of ALL PLACES. LMFAO!
