Where is the sense of NFL team loyalty???

Aug 11, 2015, 2:06 PM

NFL will never stack up to College Football because you would never see reports of CFB players breaking the starting quarterback's jaw with a sucker punch. Just this off season, I have seen reports from Washington, Carolina, and now NY Jets about intra-team fighting in NFL training camps. It is sad to see guys with no sense of team, common purpose, or loyalty.

Maybe I am in the minority, but I see nothing wrong with

some team fighting. I want guys on my team with aggressiveness. We've seen some little scuffles from our practices too. Sucker punching your starting QB is over the top, but a little heated exchange is natural.

I understand tempers flaring... but

I think it is troubling when teammates fight each other. Even Cam Newton getting involved in a scuffle with a corner back the other day... Steve Smith punched Kevin Gamble in the face at Panthers Training camp a few years back... it just seems that the players are more out for themselves. To prove their own self worth, justify their roster spot or salary, and to put others down for the sake of getting ahead... that just doesn't seem like a team mentality to me.

fights happen every yr in camps... happen in college too

now punching your QB is wrong and he'll probably get cut for it.

guess we'll have to take hitting out of football before somebody gets their feelings hurt
