Fed has $2,700,000,000,000.00 in mortgage backed securities

Lol. At rates of what? 2.8% to maybe 3.75% or 4%? Good luck selling those with 8% inflation.

I missed out on another this morning.

I offers at 7% less than offer with no contingencies; someone else came in at 100% full offer. House had been on the market since Saturday. It was owned for ~8 months, and was offered for sale at 17% more than the current owners paid for it.

The housing market is crashing any day!

Re: Fed has $2,700,000,000,000.00 in mortgage = great reset

May 18, 2022, 4:16 PM

With the USA barely hanging on to solvency (as defined by taxes / incoming revenues > than interest payments on our debt), the world is approaching the great reset.

Japan - - already has higher interest payments on their national debt than incoming revenues.

When all of the big countries are underwater, then it looks like there will be big and universal 'self-forgiveness' of governmental debts, a currency re-do, and a huge screw-over for those normal private citizens who were financially sound with their family finances.

Sadly, an opportunistic time for china to swoop in like buzzards on carrion.
