Feaster and depth chart

Anyone else think there is a chance Feaster is 3rd string by the end of the year?
With all the praise that Dixon has gotten it looks like he’s a big time talent. I know it’s earlt but I think there’s a chance he ends up 2nd string behind Etienne by the end of the year.
Feaster is super fast, but he isn’t very elusive and not great at breaking tackles.

Don't think so. I think we will finally see the 5-star feaster this year. His shoulder is good and he's in the best shape he's been in since at clemson. Think he and the other 2 stud rbs will churn out tons of yards. What I think will happen is you'll probably see lyn-j used more in special play call packages and also in more on special teams moving forward. Just my two cents.

he could very well be third on the depth chart. However, I doubt it. Experience in the system and the pass pros that go with it carry a lot of weight as far as where you end up on the depth chart. Feaster is a special talent so it says a lot about our stable when he is not sitting on top of the depth chart. Expect a platoon system just like last year. Like Swinney said last year when questioned about the constant player rotation on offense: They all deserve to play. I know it may hurt our offensive consistency but the fact that we are good enough to do it says a lot about where we are as a program.

Feaster should be more concerned about Choice than Dixon.

Choice is very good when healthy. Honestly, he has impressed me more than Feaster this far. I think Feaster will get some opportunities, but I’m no longer expecting him to develop into a superstar RB. I just haven’t seen flashes of brilliance from him like I have Etienne.

End up having a breakout year. I don’t think he is another Jamie Harper who could not get it together after his first play from scrimmage. It will be tough for him though considering what we have in the backfield... Choice showed me more last year on his limited carries than Feaster did. I think people havnt noticed how good he is or are just discounting him due to what else we have... just my two cents.

I personally think feaster shows out this year. I think he turns into the all around back that can gain tough yards, break one, pass blocks, and catches out of the backfield. We have several great backs and i think they all get their share of touches. I see feaster, even though he may not be as flashy as some, become a very stable-consistent every down back. Just my .02

You nailed it with "I know it's early"

The new red shirt rule will allow Lyn J to play, but if he is 4th team, he's likely to play selectively. You can't rotate 4 back in our offense effectively. Three is a challenge. He'd have to basically be pushing Ettiene to see significant snaps this year, or have an injury in front of him. Ettiene and Feaster will likely split 60-40 with Choice the short yardage battering ram. I actually think the same holds true for Ross. With Tee, Overton and Thompson ahead of him, just not enough snaps there. Are either considered 3 and done players like Trevor? Ross maybe. If not, they won't burn the year at positions of great depth.
The new red shirt rule really allows for some flexibility though

He may end up our version of Keith Marshall @ UGA

Marshall was an injury prone 5-star who was there at the same time as Todd Gurley and Nick Chubb and couldn’t hang with those two.
