Height of irony that Desmond Howard would tell Clemson fans

Oct 7, 2017, 11:04 AM

to "get over themselves" ...

It's way past time to move on, but the good folks at ESPN can't seem to resist the chance to add that little subtle dig when ever they get the opportunity.

Hey Desmond ... how about "Wolverine-ing" to The Spartans? It happened recently. Could it happen again? Discuss ...

Desmond is just mad cause Mich was suppose to be that team challenging Bama every year now, not Clemson. Its so easy to tell when these so-called experts are telling it how it is or just butt hurt about something not going to their liking.

Few teams have ever done less w/ their talent than Michigan

Oct 7, 2017, 11:13 AM

Year in and year out for decades they've under-achieved and played second fiddle to their arch rival.

Michigan may be the most chronically over-rated program in college football history.

Na, he's 100% right. Despite winning the natty and having constant praise heaped on the program, a huge contingent of our fanbase freaks out at any little perceived slight.

No, he's not right.

Oct 7, 2017, 11:17 AM

It's not a perceived slight to discuss the possibility of suffering an upset loss and constantly referring to it as "Clemson-ng" instead of simply calling it what it is and acknowledging that it happens to all teams at one time or another.

Put us on upset alert ... call for the upset ... let everyone know that we're in danger of losing to a lesser opponent if we don't come out prepared and focused. Nothing wrong with that.

But, the constant resurrection of the "word" as a descriptor is done for no other reason than to #### Clemson fans off.

That's the sole purpose and that's why it's not "right" ...

It would appear Desmond may have said more than what was shown in the clip provided in this link...but with that said, we gotta be less sensitive to a word. Yea, for a long time that haunted us, but if we are going to be considered a national power we're going to need to get used to little things like that.

Please tell what fan base that don't get butt hurt when ever they feel that their team has been dissed?
