Really hope they don't get him for two reasons: 1. As a Pats fan, I don't want a Clemson guy on our rival (hated it when Chansi Stuckey was there) and 2. I don't want to see him waste away in a Jets uniform.

not that it matters but I wonder if this came about through normal scouting or if having Seth Ryan around got MB a longer look. In the right system I think he can be a nice pro wr

As a JETS fan, I would love to see this. Absolutely had no playmakers on offense last year and no receivers with speed. Put him on the outside with Eric Decker and maybe Geno would have the chance to complete a pass downfield.

And now that we have Eric Decker, that would open up more opportunities for Martavis to make plays. We definitely need to add some athleticism to our receiving corps.
Oh, and given how badly Geno Smith overthrows receivers at times, it wouldn't hurt having someone with a 6'5" frame catching passes...

Every scout has compared Martavis to current Jet and former GT WR Stephen Hill. Hill is probably a hair faster (ran 4.3's at the combine), but Martavis is probably a better football player and has more potential.
