Oct 6, 2016, 9:54 AM

there when we were 3-8. I'm celebrating!!! If we can't have fun now when can we?? Like Dabo said...this ain't life or death. The fun is in the winning!

Does a smiley face mean you're not serious?

Hope you're not serious.

Well, it is the highest ranked win at home so we haven't "been there" but yeah we're celebrating regardless. Stop trying to be the lifeguard in our fun pool.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I've been there plenty before

Oct 6, 2016, 12:13 PM [ in reply to Act like you have been there Tiger fans ]

7 times a year with my kids on the same field throwing TD passes into the endzone.

And so far I haven't been intercepted. Kids have dropped a few, but I've never thrown a bad ball. ;)

If games like this wasn't fun and exciting, nobody would want to come. As long as our administration allow fans on the field, let the fans have as much fun and be happy all they can. Afterall they have paid their fee to have as much fun as they can get out of it. They are acting like they have been there before, fans have been storming the field after a game in DV for a long time, so I would say that they are acting exactly like they have been there before, and are doing what was done at the last home game.

I have been there before, after UGA a few years ago, after FSU last year and after Ville, not to name many more. My son enjoys it and I do to. Good times

So sad for the "Act like you have been there before" crowd

Oct 6, 2016, 4:15 PM [ in reply to Act like you have been there Tiger fans ]

Their lives must be so miserable that they they think it's cheesy or beneath them to experience joy. College kids full of emotion and happiness don't need to apologize for expressing it. That's what makes Clemson so special and why we have the tremendous fan base that we do. I would much rather have that than the sedate wine and cheese crowds of many of our competitors. I was at the Louisville game last year and it was a ho hum stadium experience. There was no excitement in the crowd. It seemed many were more interested in the party deck and getting to drink beer in the stadium. Many around us were just drunk. I wouldn't trade what Clemson has for anything else. My only complaint is that I would prefer more band than piped in music, but it's still far and away better than any place I have ever been.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm all for celebrating. What a time to be a Tiger! But...

Oct 6, 2016, 10:08 AM

But I do wish the media would promote this Clemson tradition (fans greeting the team, coaches, and each other on the field after EVERY game) as much as they do all the others.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'd rather rush the field after a big victory than...

Oct 6, 2016, 10:18 AM

rush to the parking lot after the 1st half like some other teams do. I won't same any names... (snicker)

Instead of celebrating this long standing Clemson tradition,

Oct 6, 2016, 10:29 AM

I guarantee, the media is just hoping that one day, ONE person gets hurt, then they can go into their PC rant. I can see it now. "THAT is why this is not allowed in that defacto greatest of all conferences, the SEC!"

That is why I still think the greatest thing about the radio call of the Kick Six in the 2013 Iron Bowl was the Awbarn announcer saying "They're not gonna keep 'em off the field tonight!"

Recruiting is 50% of college football and when recruits see that celebration coupled with the Hill, they are hooked. I sure hope Trevor Lawrence stayed for the fan celebration the other night! As for the posting above saying act like we have been here before - we have been here, we will continue to be here, and as Dabo says, we're gonna dance and have fun in the winning. Tiger Fans - celebrate on! With apologies to Brent Musberger: "It is one of the grandest exits in all of college football. There is nothing like it as you watch the fans spill onto the field." So we have the grandest entrance, the grandest exit, and I would say one of the grandest teams of all time. Go Tigers!

There will always be somebody that don't approve of people just having fun!!!!

May be heresy but I thought the ND game was better.

Oct 6, 2016, 12:46 PM

Deluge of historic proportions.

Legendary program.

Arrogant jerk coach.

Revenge for '77.

Boulware's flip after the final tackle.

No way, this was two heavyweights just trading blows

Oct 6, 2016, 12:49 PM

to see who the last one standing would be.

UL goes up 7-0.

Clemson goes on a 28-3 run.

UL goes on a 26-0 run.

Clemson goes on a final 14-0 run and lands the knock out punch.

One of the greatest college football games in quite a while.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Where's DaBO in that pic?!?!?!

Oct 6, 2016, 1:02 PM

LoL

badge-donor-10yr.jpgringofhonorlightbulbbill.jpgmilitary_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

A great game, yes. But UL is no ND.

Oct 6, 2016, 1:05 PM [ in reply to No way, this was two heavyweights just trading blows ]

And the ND win put us on track for the run to the natty. Hope this win does the same.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg2016_nascar_champ.gif flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Never said they were ND. I said they were a heavyweight `

Oct 6, 2016, 2:25 PM

meaning this year in college football.

It went back and forth.

It was a much better overall game than the ND game. More entertaining. Reading Comprehension. the More You Know.

My son is just now a senior...I am thrilled that we as a family have been able to experience and be part of the growth and momentum of the Clemson football team these last 4.5 years....are Tiger fans overly enthusiastic? YES! And why shouldn't they? We attended the national championship in Phoenix/Glendale this past January....the most obvious observation? Waaay more Clemson fans in town for the weekend and the Tiger fans were waaayyyyy more enthusiastic, happy and thrilled to be there. Sadly, Alabama fans simply walked around (looking like they were in shock by our numbers and enthusiasm) and every once in a while gave a slowwww drawllll Roooooolll Tide. Thanks but I much prefer to be part of an enthusiastic culture and momentum than become (and hopefully we will not) a fan base that EXPECTS to win and the innocence of "building" is lost!! Go Tigers!
