13 Stripes is very cool. Yee Haw in Greenville has a great environment It's a haul, and it's commercial....but Sierra Nevada is very impressive

Fire Forge downtown Greenville has the most consistently good beer.
Birds Fly South is a good atmosphere, but parking can be a nightmare. Also they cater more toward sours, which I hate - but the Blueprint IPA is pretty good.
Brewery 85 is another favorite of mine - the beers are consistent and the atmosphere is great. Owner is a Clemson grad and a great guy.

Who’s been to RJ Rockers in Spartanburg? I’ve been trying to get by there when I visit mom and dad but haven’t yet.

first in South Carolina. The brewery is pretty simple but they just opened a new restaurant attached. Also there's a new really cool beer garden downtown "The Fr8yard". It's a bunch of cargo containers put together in a vacant lot between downtown buildings on It has food and beverages, live music and sports on the big screen.

Just read on FB that the old Astro theater is going to be a new brewery. I assume this is not fake news. Or old news.

Second this. The owner is a Clemson grad too, so that's a bonus.

Jocassee Valley Brewing is in Salem.
Golden Grove Farm and Brew in Piedmont/Pelzer. Off of hwy 29 and Hwy 8. Owned by CU grads and have great beer. Food is good and live music most nights. If you like good beer I would highly recommend them.

Thomas Creek is in Powdersville.
My favorite is Wicked Weed though, but that's in Asheville.

Not overly impressed with any of Greenville's breweries. They arent terrible just not great.
Fire Forge has the best beer in my opinion but atmosphere is lacking, with the location its a real let down
YeeHaw has a great atmosphere but their beer is very average
Birds Fly is completely over rated in every way
Swap Rabbit has good beer and when they have a band going out back great atmosphere but its in TR
85 is solid and probably the best overall but it lacks on location as well
I'm hopeful the new one they are building on Stone Ave will check all the boxes
