yards allowed are not important. It has been a chore adjusting to their bias but now I find that every single syllable uttered is insane...or is it me going insane? Those two stats were once the pride of sec football or am I wrong? This is just crazy

I'd say TOP has become pretty much a meaningless stat in the grand scheme of things. Obviously some teams rely on it to protect their D more than others (Georgia Tech) but you can't tell much about a game from TOP.

It's strange when your team wins that battle how fine you feel after the game. I think we ought to get us some of that time of possession and turnover margin too but nothing seems to matter except that point thing you mentioned.

defense that was just more physical and faster than everybody else's league. Then T A&M and Missouri come in and light up the scoreboard, other SEC teams start using spread offenses and suddenly the SEC is dominant because of offensive stars.

Total yards allowed and PPG allowed are different, but I do believe that the less yards allowed means you probably prevented the offense from getting good field position and provided less opportunities to score but UF beat USuCk several years ago by about 30 something points while only getting like 190 yards on offense. Turnovers play a big factor.
These have become the more important factors: Explosiveness (how many big plays) Efficiency (RZ, 3rd down, etc.) Field Position Finishing Drives Turnovers
An interesting read and I agree with most of it... at the end of the day have more points than the other team and you win...

You lack discipline if you can't look away.

All you have to do is record the program and run through it using the FF button. Watch for the PAW and hit play.
It won't take many times until you can get the rhythm and hit play right on the money.
