Fan Day question from someone who hasn't been in years...
Aug 17, 2016, 10:24 PM

I've read over the past few years that Fan Day is mass chaos often resulting in many disappointed fans. If autographs are only to be given from 2:30 to 5:00, do you think it is possible to arrive at 2:00, immediately get in the QB line, and still get the autograph by 5:00. Or is it possible that they will block the end of this line before the event even starts due to the length of the line?
Any serious responses would be appreciated as I have not attended this in probably 20+ years.

Send people through each line and make sure they shove kids out of the way to get up front. At least that's what always works for me. Some parents try to be jerks and yell at you for it, or whine about how their kid didn't get an autograph, but to me, that seems selfish of them. I usually just calmly explain that if their kid wants a DW4 autograph they can visit my eBay store and purchase one.
The other secret is having all of your items ready to sign when you get to the table so you can get each player to sign like 50 or 60 items before someone notices and cuts you off.
Good luck, have fun and go Tigers!

I have nothing to sell. What the parents who complain to and about me fail to realize is, to me it's more important that my kid has food on the table than for their kid to get an autograph on Fan Day.

Anyway, if you're looking to help prevent the wussification of 'Murica, perhaps you should pass out 8x10 glossy stills of that special snowflake, just_the_TIP? That'll scare them straight.
