Fact

The same people throwing Chad under the bus this season will be throwing Venables under the bus next season. We lose most of the starting front seven, including all starters on the DL, and some of our depth. The D will be good next year because we have talent in waiting and Coach V is a good DC, but it will not dominate like this year's D is..
On to the Chad....I'm not gonna get into all the drama/rants/ raves about him/play calling etc. Obvious he could make some changes. Next year however, the line will be better, as will the receivers, and the o-line and backs and the O will once again be the strength of our team....
Fan - short for fanatical...Some of you need to chill, be a bit more objective, and take things as they are not as you wish them to be...

Guess you are thinking we don't develope our front four who has been waiting their turn patiently and are hungry or think there is no true freshman who can make an impact at DE.
Maybe even doubt Coach V can coach up all those lbs we have recruited over the past two years?
Then their is no way Coach Reed will have a safety ready to replace Robert Smith.
Or are you expecting us to be decimated by injuries across the board on D?
But you are reliying on the chronic complainers, which yeah, they will always find something to gripe about.

Wow, seriously?????
I clearly stated Coach V would put a quality D on the field next year. However, if you think, for one minute, we are going to as good up front next year you need to take off the neon orange glasses...
You don't lose a sure 1st round dominating DE, that may be our best ever at DE that holds our all time sack record with half of his senior season left. Replace Big Grady Jarrett, who is imo our most dominating/nasty DT since the likes of the Danny Ford DT's. Not to mention Barnes, Crawford, a very solid combo of Williams/Watson....Throw in Steph Anthony and that's definitely replacing more on D next year than we had to replace of the O side of the ball this year...

You made it out like it was going to be as big of a drop off on D next year as we have had on O this year.
Note: Vic has played DE for 2.5 years. Sure a blue chipper is not a senior All-American but there are instances to where true freshman come right in and do major things.
The real issue will be can any of our young DTs be anything close to Grady Jarrett? I see Pagano as an anchor. Not sure if we have that penetrater in waiting or not?

Agree...That's my concern as well...Think Big Grady will have a LONG career in the League...I do not think we have anyone in waiting that fill Gradys shoes. We do have some studs in waiting but they are raw and lack experience...We will field a Good D, just not like this year's D.. Take out the 4th quarter against the DAWGS and we probably have the #1 D in country, definitely would have the number 1 rushing defense...

If not this year, then whenever Snyder retires at K State. He is 75 years old.

Agree, his stock will never be higher than after this season. I think we are able to keep him though, with a healthy raise. Of course after the raise, and we lose most of our front 7 to graduation/NFL next year the same t-netters that are saying Morris is sucks and is overpaid will be saying the same about Coach V

I agree with pretty much all you have stated. The one positive I see right now is we do have some young talent on D to replace some of the guys the team will lose. For example, I don't see a huge drop off at end. Lawson is a beast of a player as well as Boulware. Jones will be good and we get Blanks back as well. I'm most excited about Lawson and Boulware though. Lawson is a wrecking ball at end. He needs some polish in the run game but in limited snaps he has shown an ability to quickly get to the quarterback. You can't help but love Boulware. He has a ton of talent and plays with so much emotion and heart. He's going to have to learn to reel in that emotion at times. The cupboard is hardly bare on D. I do agree that some posters here will be saying the same things about Coach V next year that they are saying about Morris this year.

I agree, CBV is a great coach, but there will be some drop off in the front 4. No question we have young talent in Pegano, Boulware, Alexander, ect., but losing Jarrett, Crawford, Barnes, Anthony, Steward, ect. will have an effect. "It all starts up front" is cliche for a reason. CBV does his job very well IMO, but (and I hope I'm dead wrong) no way are we as good in our front 4 next year as we are now, I certainly can not see it being better.
