Facility upgrades

Jun 3, 2022, 2:14 PM

I know facilities are fine right now but why not want more. A lot of teams are upgrading in big ways. I know that football and other sports are getting upgrades and for the baseball program we have a coach to go get first. Hope something happens to Doug kingsmore but man take a look at what the vols are up too. https://www.tennesseefund.org/newlindseynelsonstadium/

What upgrades would y’all like to see? If anyone would make pictures or renderings that would be cool. Just something besides the Monte hate and something else to ponder about of the future of the program.

Sucks today watching baseball and we aren’t in it. Hopefully soon we are back where we belong!

Vole stadium is really outdated at this point they really need a facelift.

It's going to really look outdated when the Smokies move to the new stadium in downtown Knoxville.

The cost to upgrade/add seats only pays off if those additional costs are covered by membership/season ticket amount. This only happens now with Premium membership/seating.

The upgrade I would like to see at Clemson is more elbow room and more leg room. It sucks that you have to stand up to allow someone to move down the row, and at times I have had to grab/hold people to keep them from falling into the next row. The only worse seating arrangements I have had to endure was last Friday at the North Charleston Coliseum for the Cane Bay High School graduation.

I take it you have never been to Auburn for a football game. Horrendously cramped seating.

And you probably have never been to a game at LSU. I swear when they expanded their capacity one time all they did was repaint the seat numbers closer together on the aluminum seats. They were narrower than current airplane economy seating.

Have you been there for a game? It was in need of major upgrades decades ago.

Been by the stadium and I know it’s small venue and outdated. But across all sports it seems like it’s all about club and suites. But some cool aspects could be added just wondering what we could do and if they do down the road.

I was just watching FSU at the Auburn regional. I noticed those nice high back mesh chairs behind home plate with the AU logo on them. They looked very comfortable and kind of like gaming/office chairs.Mean time the faded orange ones at DKS were replaced by more green ones. I guess that's the kind of premium things that make a difference. Aubie has a great looking facility.

Thankfully its being updated / upgraded right as we speak. I can't wait to see it! I think it'll change the game day atmosphere so much (for the better). We've needed that so bad for years now!

You picked a bad example. Tennessee's Neyland Stadium

Jun 3, 2022, 6:49 PM

probably has the fewest square inches of a$$ space per seat in all of college football. I would not want us to copy that in any way, shape or form at Clemson!

Confusing. That pic is Neyland which is football but the link is for Lindsey-Nelson upgrades (UT's baseball stadium). I think the OP is asking what improvements to the baseball facility at CU would you make.

Just watched a few minutes of the Knoxville Regional against Campbell. All I can say is I’m embarrassed for Tennessee that they are playing on plastic instead of grass. Sad for any “southern” school.
