If it's so awful then buy home/condo/etc.

Save your money, use a program, and buy something. Then you get to maintain it yourself.

Landlords provide a service. Don't like it? Don't use it.

my personal life" is all about. Sounds like someone is mad at where they live.

If my LL wasn't moving this place to Airbnb/VRBO I'd stay here as long as he'd rent it to me.


No worries FBmooch..in ~4 months I'll be just like you...living somewhere I really don't like, in a house I don't give a chit about...but it will be mine and I'll be on the hook for every square inch of repair, upgrade and work on it.

I'm unbelievably excited about it.

One thing I guess we'll be taking a lot more vacations to get the eff away from it.

about everything down to every nail in the house, or the fact I know I'll miss seeing the waves break over the sand bar at breach inlet, or being able to walk my dog down to the beach and then getting a beer at the ding-ee on the way back..but there is a real probability that if we can't get out of that house before we close, we won't be in it very long. My wife already hates it and they haven't even painted it yet.
