Robbie Robinson only one who's visited multiple times. Me and saivion was more than likely one and 2. Mike reed just invited a late bloomer to JD korey banks a 6'2 with good speed and length. Was one of the top DBs at Adidas showcase. Long ways to go but hoping mullens gives us another look.

Travyon Mullen

He's also high on LSwho though too..

I like R. Robinson, but I'm not a fan of his size

Feb 24, 2015, 1:52 PM

He's got great skills and is a great athlete, but he's only about 5'8. He'd be a great guy to cover the slot, but we need guys for the outside. Mullen looks like he might a stud though.

Feb 24, 2015, 2:12 PM

Mullen and Robinson would be a great haul in my opinion. RR has great cover skills but I agree his size makes you go ugh but mike reed likes the kid so I'm down. Other prospects will pop up after camp circuits. For example korey banks may be a recruit they watch and invite to camp plus others

Re: I like R. Robinson, but I'm not a fan of his size

Feb 24, 2015, 2:32 PM

Robinson is a great corner, just undersized. Not impossible to be a star at his size. Will Likely from Maryland is pretty good at 5'7.

Chad also plays basketball at PRHS and is a 3* bball prospect. Was the overall Defensive MVP at Core 6 Showcase.

24/7's Steve Wiltfong writes, "Clay was a standout out on both sides of the ball during 1-on-1s. He played a physical brand of football as a cornerback, at one point jamming a four-star receiver so badly he drove him back several yards into the backfield. Clay had several pass breakups and didn’t give up much all afternoon. As of July 2014, had a top 8 of UGA, Aub, LSU, Bama, A&M, CU, Neb, and OhSt. Film: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2571119/chad-clay Awkwardly painful interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjtY7mO9ZBk

Has offers from UVA, VTech, CU, AZSt, Duke, FSU, UK, Miss, UGA, USC, and others. An interview: http://recruiting.scout.com/story/1420176-the-opening-levonta-taylor
Film: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3348454/levonta-taylor

A scout's take on Taylor:" I saw Taylor in person at The Opening and 5’10” may be a little generous with his height, but he plays bigger than his size. He’s a fluid athlete that transitions extremely well and has explosive speed. He can run with just about anyone. Taylor is so natural in his backpedal and and his acceleration when he plants and breaks on the football is outstanding. His footwork is so good and he has very little wasted motion. His closing speed is elite and he can run with just about any receiver. Size is the biggest issue with him in terms of jump ball situations, but he can get up there and compete for the football. He has outstanding ball skills and has the ability to be a dangerous player after an interception. He is a physical tackler that will come up and deliver a blow. He’s a willing tackler in run support." Read more: http://sonofacoach.com/levonta-taylor/

An older interview:
Coach Warren: Facilities, Uniforms, Tradition, Coaching Staff, Education? Which factor or combination of factors will be most important in your school choice?
RF: Education, Tradition and Coaching Staff. Education is most important . It’s something you can have for a lifetime. When your football career is done you always have your Education to fall back on.

Coach Warren: Is playing closer to home a big deal?
RF: My ultimate goal is going Division 1. I would love to play closer to home so my Family and Peers could come watch me.

Coach Warren: Is early playing time important?
RF: I would love to come in once I get there and make an immediate impact on the program . But in order to do all that I would have to Work Hard, but I would like to learn the position and master it at first so playing time is a big factor."

I think he has a chance to be very special.” From bigcountypreps.com "Look at this combo of size, speed and athleticism. 6’1?-6’2? cover corner with legit 4.4 speed. CU, Bama, FSU, Miami, LSU, and Fla are in the mix. He is an exceptional athlete who is still growing. Some have him as a Miami lean. LSU is after him hard. Named First Team All State.

With all due respect half the people you listed aren't coming to Clemson. It looks like you just named everyone that Clemson has offered this yr. How about shorten that legit to actual legit targets, cause Clemson isn't taking many DBs this cycle.

Lol you simply went to 247 and looked at offers and probably cut and paste articles of recruits that half Clemson offers. You listed recruits who's never even visited Clemson then get mad when i asked you to furnish a more legit list. No need to catch feelings

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He did one step for the guy asking the question...

Feb 24, 2015, 5:39 PM

No harm in providing that info. Not everyone (if anyone) has an inside source to Clemson's recruitment. Unless Tigerbry has an inside source or position, this information is all he probably has to offer but it doesn't make it any less information. We have an entire year before any of this really matters anyway. Those guys who haven't visited Clemson could visit them a few times before all is said and done.

The best answer for the OP is that I don't think there necessarily is a legit #2 prospect. I think Savion is who everyone was gushing over b/c of the idea of landing another 5 star but the whole recruitment of these guys are dynamic and ever changing. Their opinions fluctuate with every visit...I'm sure the coaches have a few guys they're going hard after, but heck, I'm sure they don't share everything with everyone. Mostly to keep those #### pesky Allbarn and hurting buckaroos away...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

"Went to 24/7 and copied and pasted..." You're an idiot.

Feb 24, 2015, 6:00 PM [ in reply to Re: With all due respect quit worrying so much about my post ]

I'm so glad you're here now to be the expert. Man... I was really letting people down til you came along. I'm so glad we have you now to do all the informative, link filled, quote filled recruiting updates. With signing day about a year away I'm so glad you're here to tell us who is #2 and that NONE of the guys I listed could be that guy. Say could you also tell me the upcoming lotto numbers Nostradamus, if you don't mind.

Surely a man of you're academic and clairvoyant standards must've looked over something regarding my just "copy and pasting stuff from 24/7" BUT if you'll notice there's tidbits from TNet, TI, TCI, Rivals, HUDL, VarsityPreps, SonOfACoach.com, Scout, ESPN, Twitter, and MaxPreps. SO NO, I DID NOT JUST GO OVER TO 24/7 AND COPY AND PASTE STUFF.

AND YES, some of these guys have been on campus, just not to your knowledge. Mecole Hardman has. Brittain Brown has. Chad Clay has. Shai Werts has. Simeon Gatling has. Obviously Robbie Robinson has. Jacob Morgenstern is planning one. SURE, not all have been on campus. Glad you caught that. But most have an interest in us and are planning trips or camps at CU. Not sure if you noticed but signing day ain't tomorrow. A lot could happen between now and then.

And how did I not furnish a legit list?! I gave ya guys we're looking at, guys we've offered, guys we've visited with, and been in contact with. I gave ya their position, height, weight, city, school, ratings, stats, bench/ 40, some quotes, some videos, and some clippings. SO I'M CURIOUS, how furnished is your legit list? Must be a thing of beauty. I've come across some morons on here before but good grief. This is the first time I've ever used the ignore button. Congrats!

TB83 is an invaluable asset , especially for a guy like me who enjoys reading about prospects without the hassle of actually doing any work to get that material .
There can be no doubt that I am a TB83 fan ...not a hater of anyone else that loves Clemson football ...but his posts are a nice out step on here from the usual and the mundane.

This dude is seriously mad right now. He knows he listed like 50 guys for maybe 2 spots. Chad clay hasn't spoke of us in a long time and really let's be real hardmon is very long shot. Really Nigel warrior? Mullen at this point is a very very long shot. To be real Robbie Robinson is the prospect to look for at the moment and has been for a pretty long time. simple answer is Robbie Robinson now stop catching feelings homie.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You got a personality like a dead moth.

Feb 24, 2015, 7:06 PM

You really have nothing better to do than worry about what I post and what names I put out there. But at least I can spell Mecole Hardman's name right. We've offered most of those guys for a reason. I don't know if you've ever heard of guys like Jeff Scott, Dan Brooks, or Mike Reed but they can recruit pretty well. It's a bit to early to say we have no shot with some guys. Until they are completely committed then I still give us a shot. Lately we've been doing well on the trail so I wouldn't rule us out just yet for some of these guys. And no, I didn't list 50 guys. I listed about a dozen. But at least I spelled all their names right and even punctuated the names properly. Since you're into being ticky tacky about things...
