Clemson Roundball Greats--Where are They Now? Vol 1

Here's a new feature I'm working on....lemme know if you like it. I want to be the Mackey of the lunge.
"Where are They Now"--Featuring Mohamed Woni
After coming from the Ivory Coast to America at age 16, the 6' 10" player left St Johns prep school ranked by Parade Magazine as the top 10 center in the nation. This would foreshadow the lofty heights he would achieve in the college game, immediately making an impact by playing 8 minutes/game his freshman season and averaging 1.8 ppg.
After a freshman season like that, many players would rest on their laurels and phone it in the next year. Not Woni---he DOUBLED his playing time to an invaluable 15.2 minutes per game, and in a stroke of coincidence, also doubled his scoring average to 3.7 ppg.
As gifted as he was at basketball, Woni may have even been a better fortune-teller, as was proven in his junior season after he immediately decided to GTFO after experiencing just 8 games of Larry Shyatt's coaching. Sadly, it would take the Clemson AD another 4 years to come to the same conclusions about Shyatt.
Generally, players who quit an NCAA Division I program and have a single year of eligibility left are a hot commodity in the college ranks, and Woni was no exception, immediately getting snapped up by perennial powerhouse Hampton. In his single season at Hampton, Woni showed moxie and played within himself, averaging 10 ppg and 8 rebounds, ironic because there were some Larry Shyatt games where Clemson barely scored 10 ppg.
With his college career burning white hot like a supernova, Woni had expectations of playing in the professional ranks, and these dreams bore fruit in 2000 when he was selected in the 9th round of the NBA draft by the Baltimore Bayrunners. Woni proved to be a true franchise player for the Bayrunners, because he played for them the entire single season they were in existence.
Woni then went on to play in the European leagues, briefly walking away from the game (leaving the Everton Tigers in Liverpool) in 2007 when he decided he wanted to pursue fatherhood. The timing on this decision couldn't have been more perfect, as he already had a son waiting on him in America.
After excelling at and conquering fatherhood, Woni once again sought out the siren call of the hardwood. From 2010 to present, Woni has been playing in the Saudi Arabian basketball league for the Al Wheda Mecca team, where being a 6'10" male named "Mohamed" has proven invaluable.
Mohamed Woni, we salute you.

Are you a dumas? Ever heard of a "teaser"? You ever watched a Chris Angel or Robbie Knievel TV special----do they do the Stunt at the beginning of the show? You have to build to a David Potter feature, friend, and you bring your audience along for the ride.

10!
And I can't believe all these Milton Jennings scoks are again missing the mark by not thumbing this thing up like Rick Barnes thumbed up Dean Smith's ####.
Keep up the great work. I know you've already accepted suggestions for volume 2 so here's a few for future volumes:
