Greenr gets another great review for end of year reviews. Either my boss is lying (probable) or the bar is WAAAAYYYYYY too low for me (also probable).

I hate performance reviews. But rumor had it last year that there was a potential promotion coming up. I guess come January I'll find out.

Mine is scheduled for tomorrow. The day before Thanksgiving...

I'm trying to walk the line of expressing my frustrations (to hopefully lead to some improvements) while not broadcasting that I've got one foot out the door and am interviewing for other positions. I don't like confrontation.

If yes, then he likely considers you among the top 10-20% of his team.

If not, then yeah, it’s pretty meaningless and just means he likes you or at least wants to look like he leads a team of rockstars.

I always took Exceeds Expectations to mean you are working WAY too hard. Turn it down a notch and you'll still prob get a good review.

Just make sure the understand Exceeds Expectations is tied to Exceeds Current Pay for you.
