It was malicious hit - he grabbed his left arm and squeezed him in to drive his shoulder in the ground. Kept him from turning his body. it was intentional.

I saw it the same as you. He really screwed us fans over who wanted to see something special today. The guy had close to 190 yards in the first half alone.

I thought it looked like a solid play by the bama guy. Crap happens when you play a game where where really big strong dudes are trying to hit you really hard. Had more to do with Ewers being in a bad spot

I disagree. I have watched Bama a lot and they almost always tackle to drive players into the ground. They are taught to do it so it will wear opponent down. I have also seen qbs make throws like that all the time against Clemson and our guys just give them a little push. That player is coached to injur when opportunity is available.

A brutal roughing the passer that knocked Texas' QB out of the game late in the first quarter. Ewers, the QB, was already at about 190 yards too.

I don't think, again it's just an opinion, but I don't think Cade as a freshman can take what DW4 did as a Sophomore and a junior.

I’m not sure Cade’s weight is that big an issue. Guys have played that position, especially in the 80’s and 90’s smaller than Cade. And QB ‘s took more hits back then because of the option. I was surprised to hear Bryce Young is only 195 and they said that’s probably generous
