crowd here who want nothing to do with the Big 12, won't like it. But the truth can be inconvenient, at times.

"must read" material. It's been well documented that due to non standard reporting practices those numbers DO NOT represent an accurate comparison.
That "article" was at best an SEC blogger throwing numbers out in an effort to support his agenda.
At worst it was someone who doesn't comprehend accounting/financial data and is dangerous with a little bit of information.

He wants the SEC to get two ACC teams. He has written about it many times. He knows it can't/won't happen until the ACC falls apart. So his agenda is clear.

Neither does the Dude of WV. But they do have an agenda in their articles, tweets, and blogs. Anyone reading their material would be wise to remember that fact and take anything they say with a huge grain of salt. Or as Walt would say...UUUUGGE grain of salt.

The real truth though is. The ACC sticklers won't believe a word of this even thought these numbers have been there from the beginning of conference realignment. They will not admit that leaving the ACC is beast for Clemson even after Clemson has hit absolute ROCK BOTTOM. They will blame Clemson sinking to the bottom on everyone (except the ACC) that saw the writing on the wall and did what was best for their school. They realigned with other conferences to save what they had. And the ACC stubborn die hards will blame them for acting in time for their own survival.

option, just stating my preference.
I would be OK going to the Big12 ALONG WITH AT LEAST 3 other ACC teams, preferably FSU, GaT, and VaT. Throw in Miami and NCST and that would be a great conference.
But just going to the Big12 with FSU... not that excited. Clemson would be in a western conference with only FSU and WVU close by. The money would have to be really, REALLY good. I just don't think a 12 team Big12 will generate much more revenue than the ACC.

Just look at Louisville

If you want to show why these numbers are crap take a look at Louisville. They have been in the inferior big east yet will be one of the top ACC based on revenue? They are about to get a huge paycheck by joining the ACC yet you people will still say we don't make enough money to survive in the ACC. Well someone will be doing just fine.

whatweeatin,
You look at Louisville and say "hey these guys were in a crap conference and their budget is great" which is a testament to their AD and President. They look at that budget and say "now look what we can do with all this money"
We are competing with the best in the country. If all you want to do is "survive" then by all means go for it, but don't complain when we are in a 80 year old coliseum playing basketball and a run down DV.

They have often stated that they wish the topic would go away. For them to be doing a series of blogs on expansion now, you can bet your bottom dollar that something is brewing. We will know what before football season starts in Septmber.

These figures are entirely inaccurate as IPTAY funds are not figured into the 66.9 they say we bring in. IPTAY is what puts CU over the top in our #### conference. It helps us get what we need to compete with teams outside the ACC.
That is why it is so important to give to IPTAY

If that were the case Texas would have won the national championship 10 years running. We are about to be making 10s of millions more than 5 years ago. I don't think upgrades will be an issue.
