started going out early in the 4th. This is what needs to be remembered.

Read somewhere on Sunday (maybe the Post and Courier) that the Tigers gave up 185 total yards in the first 43 minutes of the game. Kind of a random stat but really shows how dominant our defense was that night.

Maybe random but excellent info.
Thanks cusquid.

The Heisman committee will not consider our game with Jackson, but will focus on his stats against Kent State this week as he will be the giant killer that they claimed last year. Greg McElroy is a dumbazz telling the nation that LJ deserved the Heisman last year for being the best in the land. LJ will play the entire game this week, even when UL is up by 40 and KSU is playing their subs just for PT.

KSU will be sitting a good number of players out to decrease risk of injury entering conference play.

And many of Jacksons numbers occurred on the last drive of the 2nd quarter.

I'm sure Jackson will remember. Regardless of what he says and how he views Clemson's defense, he knows his performance when the game mattered was poor.

That feeling and the magnitude of the game loss will stay with him. If he gets another heisman, it will just serve as a visual reminder of a big game lost.

Are you saying this is an accurate comparison?

Sep 19, 2017, 7:42 AM

I don't think it is. Louisville's defense is 116th in the country right now with 36.7 pts per game given up. Clemson's defense is 8th in the country with 10 pts per game given up.

How did Kelly do against a defense like Clemson's (Auburn - 11th in)? He had a QBR of 69.1 (0 touchdowns and 0 INT). LJ had a final QBR of 27.2 against Clemson. So, you are still right. When comparing the two against similar Deez, KB outperformed LJ.

+1

Correction...KB might have had 0 passing TD's vs Auburn, but he had 2 rushing TD's vs them.

It's not so much the comparison between KB and Jackson

The interesting thing about that graphic is how well our starting Defense held Jackson in check.

They are 100+ in Total D partly because we put up 600+

I posted before that I was frustrated with the Auburn game play calling. Because when we opened it up, Bryant was making plays. After reading the stuff the coaches were saying and watching the game again, you could tell the coaches just went completely conservative to, what I think, protect the playbook. Because from what I saw, it wasnt to protect Kelly. He took care of the ball and and was doing well when it was opened.

I posted that I think we win every game by 10+ points from here out (this was before the Lewisville game). I also think that we will continue to keep our playbook concealed until the playoffs unless we need to use more to win. But I dont think we will need to. Again, after a couple of days after Auburn, I said, and I'll say it again, we will win the NC this year... and I dont think it is even going to be close. We will win every game by 10+... including playoff and NC.

If your prediction is correct, then once it happens instead of being the B2B champs we shoulda been the B2B2B CHAMPS!

also, didn't they say at the start of the 4th quarter

Sep 19, 2017, 8:27 AM

that Louisville was running just their 3rd play of the game past the 50 yard line?

Thought I heard one of the ABC announcers say that.
