Sounding Rather Bama-ish

As the season's worn on, more and more folks are sounding like entitled Bama fans. It's not a good look. Was there really any solid reason to think Clemson would be headed into the FSU game being in the Top 4? Seriously? The talent, especially on the defensive side, was there, but realistically, despite returnees, look who left, overall.
I'm tickled the Tigers are still in the discussion. I'm a fan, so I was very hopeful, but also realistic, or so I'd like to believe. Please, be Tiger fans, but don't go all 'Bama'. Tigers are orange...crimson is the color of embarrassment. LOL!

With a top 25 QB Clemson would be undefeated. Possibly #1 overall and probably at worst tied in terms of championship odds.

Just curious, out of 129 QB’s where do you think KB ranks

I’d say he is top 25 or at least top 35. I get his passing game is off sometimes, but before he had the ankle sprain, I don’t know that I have ever witnessed a better running QB. He had a bad passing game against NC State, but there D is good. Had KB been healthy at Syracuse, we would be undefeated

His QBR is 65th in the country. His legs have been good but there are many QBs right now that run as well or better than he does. He might have them beat on strength though so I'll give him that.

To stay hungry you can't feel like you have arrived. Clemson has not arrived. Stay hungry Tigers. No one owes you anything. You have to earn it!
Go Tigers!!!!

Amen brother. I don't know where these people are coming from. Some are trolls. Some are bandwagon fans. All I know is I've been a fan since 86 and I'm thoroughly enjoying this ride while it lasts. Go Tigers!

I didn't see the playoff as a long shot before the season. My expectations where a bit lower but I felt we had enough coaching, talent and grit to do it all again.

I very much agree. And some of the score predictions each week on these threads! I get being ALL IN but c'mon! We are good.....we are REALLY good. But Syracuse beat us. NC State came OH SO CLOSE to beating us. You think FSU can't beat us? You think SC can't beat us? You think Miami can't beat us??? I keep hearing "if we connect on one of those deep balls......". Guess what - we don't. We don't ever connect. We don't have that game this year. We're dink and dunk and break TNT on a homerun every once in a while. And guess what - we win. That's what counts. If the team and coaches stay locked in, we should make the playoff again this year. That would be an AMAZING feat. But I don't see them being able to bring the trophy home this year. Hopefully I'm wrong. But hey I picked them to go 10-3 this year and we've already won 2 of the 3 games I thought we would lose. So hope springs eternal!

You do not have to convince me we are not Bama

Yes, we are more humble. And honestly, from a personnel standpoint excepting DL and WR, we are not as good. The difference maker with Bama the last two years was primarily Deshaun Watson, plus WR and D-Line.

I think Clemson is one of the mentally strongest teams in the country. That's on the staff, as they've instilled belief in the process...in team and unity. That the trait remains post-DW4 is a real testament, as we know he had it, but he's gone, and the mental strength remains. That trait beats a lot of teams before kick-off, even if it doesn't rear its head until the 4th quarter.
