East Endzone Project

I've been excitedly watching the progress of the new massive scoreboard come together. Still looks like they have a good ways to go before football season starts up!
I came across this old article in 2021 of the renovation projects in https://upstatebusinessjournal.com/square-feet/clemson-death-valleys-new-video-board-is-probably-bigger-than-your-house/
Does anyone know if the additional seating proposed in the East Endzone to bowl it in more and for student seating will be "Phase 2" that starts after this football season? Is that still happening?
I love the renderings. One thing I wish would be different is with the green seating in the East Endzone, why not make them orange seating like the West Endzone? I'm one who misses the Orange wall around the stadium, instead of the brick. I feel like it would be nice to add more Orange in the empty stadium since the color orange is one of our biggest trademarks.

And I don't think they would actually be green. They're just shown as green in the rendering to highlight changes to the existing seating.

Make sense about the green seating. I just know Doug Kingsmore Stadium is about the green seating, so seeing those renderings made me think they were doing something similar in Death Valley and I gag at that haha!
As for the renderings, the scoreboard looks quite different from the article that I shared from 2021 to some additional ones I've seen circulating around the internet. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what it actually will look like completed...unless someone has any official renderings you can share?

It looks really weird when driving down Williamson Road now. Never noticed that the road is not parallel with the stadium until now.

As far as I’ve been told, the seating is on hold and is not part of phase 2. The green seat color was just so you could easily see what was being added…

Those curved/rounded edges not attractive IMO and doesn't match the straight lines of the other rest of the stadium decks. Reminds me of the fugly rounded Liberty Bowl or the top decks at Louisville. Hope that design was cancelled permanently.

IMO they can do whatever they want with the second level seating. JUST DON’T TOUCH THE HILL!

Another case of Clemson losing its soul. The Hill will soon look like the strip of grass between the sidewalk and the curb. You can call it progress, but do not call it Clemson.
