I'm glad that you only felt it and it didn't get worse.In March 1964
I was stationed in Anchorage Alaska at Fort Richardson Army base.
Terrible Earthquake..8.4 in magnitude.Not a lot of deaths but very
much damage.I pray to never experience that again.

I've visited Hermosa/Manhattan Beach numerous times over the past 25 years and never felt a tremble while over there. However, the two earthquakes (minor) I have felt were here in Georgia oddly enough.
