Early observations.

Our offensive line stinks as usual.
We don’t go up tempo anymore, which has been a mistake recently.
I’m still not sold on Elliott as OC. Even with amazing talent, our offensive execution leaves a lot to be desired.
Most importantly, it’s the first game of the season and we are playing a good team with lots of new faces, so no need to panic.

Funny......I'm not sold on Brownell as our basketball coach.

The difference is that Brownell isn’t one of the highest paid

coaches in college basketball and doesn’t have the history or talent that Elliott has in his favor.
Thanks for sharing your basketball thoughts in a football thread though.

Brownell can’t consistently beat teams with similar talent either.

Actually Brownell does well against teams with equal or lesser talent

and often competes against teams with more talent too.
Pay attention better.

Lane Kiffin and Sark lap TE as an O coordinator. But not as a molder of men. Give me an O coordinator right now.

Elliot was great for about 4 years but as Defenses have caught on we seem to struggle more.

I’m confused as to how people say our OL stinks and then turn around and blame Elliott for not doing a better job as OC. It makes things a lot more difficult on an OC when you can’t run the ball or pass protect.

Well, as OC, Elliott is responsible for offensive line recruiting and development.

Field position has really been a factor. Georgia's D can tee off when we are hemmed in deep. Like to see what we can do closer to mid-field, if and when we get there. Our D has been fine. Injuries and Covid a concern.

Well. We got to mid-field and absolutely crapped it. Maybe Spiers can hem the Dawgs in now.
