Sad but that one bad decision & outcome was the back breaker IMHO.
Still, I truly think he's best QB in Nation & the only trigger man able to beat Bama.

Everyone says Clemson is the team with the best chance to beat Alabama because of the amount of "dudes" we have and the type of guy we have at QB yet most people still say he's not a heisman contender. Blows my mind.

Lamar Jackson lost 2 of the last 3 games. There is an organized effort to not give it to DW4. The press doesn't like Clemson

L Jackson won them over midway through the season. D Watson didn't live up standards the first half. We played some close games where the team didn't look good. There is no conspiracy.

If DW4 doesn't win the Heisman its because our team did not have it together for the first 3/4 of the season and it cost Deshaun.
He's still the best QB in the country, best all around player and winner and the TIGERS have a great chance to win it all this year.
But the Heisman was lost while we were sleepwalking in Sept/Oct/Nov...
GO TIGERS!!!

I hope he wins it. It just seems the media decided early and that he threw too many picks early on. Our team dropped too many balls. It just wasn't the offense the media expected before the season. I hope he throws for 7 td's tonight and sways them. We also need Mayfield to stink it up in 35 minutes.

DW needs about 400 yards , 4 TDs and No INTs.
A performance like this on the big stage in a Championship game should be enough.
The sad part tho I believe Lamar has already won it.

I'd like to think Lamar lost it after pompously posing for the Heisman against Kentucky and then fumbling in the red zone. Between that clown act and his temper tantrums all season long, his stats lose their luster in my eyes. I've never seen Deshaun tear off his helmet on the field, throw a fit or get down on himself or his team. I've never seen him storm off the field into the locker room after a game either. It's amusing to me how the talking heads consistently remind us all how the Heisman is not "a statistical award", yet the only justification for their selection - statistics. I don't care if Deshaun had twice as many interceptions as any top 5 QB in the nation; there's no one I'd rather have under center.

The NFL wants to reward the guy who brings it in the playoffs as well. Many accomplishments and potential recognition still ahead for DW and team. ACC POY value is diminished with DW wearing Natl Championship ring.

BUT, if I'm consistent in my belly-aching I have to say that a rip has not been given about the Heisman trophy by this T-netter since CJ Spiller wasn't even INVITED to NY when, IMHO, he was the best player in the country.

Can't disagree with you there but I agree the media hype before the season was over top. Really unfortunate but I still think he pulls it out with just A good game.
