What you say is true. However, Dabo does need to change his thinking about the portal and about his choice of coaches. As someone once said, "if you are waiting around, you are backing up."

When the first poster shows up and points out the new recruit(s) who should be told to hit the bricks because we want a portal player, then that will be the first such poster.
Who do you have in mind for a portal player that should take the spot of an existing player or recruit.
Next, what are our chances of actually getting that player to choose us instead of the NIL heavyweights?
Now you see why this ‘we just need to use the portal’ thingy is not a simple matter for a program that has been built upon a culture of establishing long term mutual relationships between the players and the coaches.

On that logic, an underclassman would never take the position of an upperclassmen. Also, I would go to the portal for OL, like many other teams did this year, to answer your question.

Glad that your life has not been impacted by either inflation or job loss.
It was a very good year for me, but I am concerned about the financial sufferings that come from soaring interest rates (read … more foreclosures and repossessed goods), soaring costs for consumables, and soaring costs for big ticket items.
Job losses will continue to accelerate; that is the purpose behind the big interest rate hikes … I.e., to throttle down the economy in hopes that declining demand will lead to lower prices. Lower consumer spending = fewer jobs.
Massive gov’t spending is the real driver behind the inflation. Fed actions cannot correct for Biden’s profligate spending.
But still … Happy New Year to you, and congrats about your prosperity.

Everybody I know is doing great.. Best way to fight inflation is just buy less. It’ll correct itself. When I was growing up, if the washing machine broke, you fixed it. Now I know people if the wash machine breaks, they just get rid of it by a bigger one and they complain about how much it costs, but they buy it anyway. And historically low interest rates couldn’t go on forever, they had to go up at sometime, they always do. I don’t give a crap who’s in the White House, their policies have some effect, but blaming this on Biden Just demonstrates that someone does not see the big picture. And I don’t hear any complaints about job losses, everyone I know can’t hire anybody. Dramatic shortage of workers..

in my household. Anyone who thinks groceries are up only 10-20% doesn’t grocery shop. I can deal with it, but many are making choices between food and other necessities like heat and gas. We have a food give away here and the parking lot is full when they open. Feels like a third world country.

Dabo has had success when he can see clearly what is needed, ie morris and venables hiring or Steele and himself firing! Needs to think just side the box, ie reach outside the program and bring in some fresh ideas on offense, Streeter just isn’t getting it done!! I could call plays better on ncaa on Xbox and did!! Haha

Completely respect Dabo, but he was thoroughly outcoached tonight and I didn’t hear him admit it. So I lost a little respect for him even though I know he’s a great guy. Not saying I want a new coach, but I’m disappointed in his performance and response tonight…. Go Tigers, and thanks to all the players for your efforts tonight and this season!!!

A leader is only as good as the people he chooses to surround himself with. I have great concerns about the people surrounding Dabo right now. I hope something changes, either they get better or Dabo finds better but it just seems kind of clear to me that changes need to be made. I don't think any of this is "bashing" but I do think it is a reality that has to be faced head-on.

I am a Christian also, I’m not judged in my job by past accomplishments, I’m judged by how well I am doing now. I don’t want Dabo gone. I want Dabo to realize that 12 years of recruiting well and success, means nothing without the best coordinators . It’s not fair to the kids, and it’s not fair to the fans that give their own money to build all the things they enjoy. I don’t expect to win every game. But I do expect to compete , I have seen this coming for four years. It started with Elliott. The best is the standard. Well that doesn’t apply to coordinating. Brandon streeter was one of my favorite players ( because of his toughness) but he either needs help, or needs to go. We were beaten by a team that was built in two years by the portal. That should resonate.
