They are good cars. Handle well and nice options. But cotdang they are expensive to repair.

Old boss had a Q3 CPO and it had like $15k in repairs before it hit 100k miles.

Seem to have made great strides in reliability around 2015-2016, but before that, those were some finickyass engines. Audi struggled more than any other manufacturer to make a direct injection engine that didn’t coke up far too quickly. I’d probably trust a relatively new one.

Also if it’s a new one, I would probably look at the 2.0T over the 3.0 V6. Just don’t get a FWD one with the CVT transmission.

Probably get something a year old next year. Looking for crossover or small SUV. Think something I can buzz around the QC in and deal with parking and something that will take me up a gravel road in the mountains with ease. That Macan you talked about looks really nice, but a little more than I want to pay (but still not completely off the radar). How about Lexus UX?

But it’s not gonna be the driver’s choice.

CPO Audi Q5 would be a solid choice. Also an option, and likely priced between the Macan and the Q5c would be the sportier SQ5.
