So does option #3 come with a participation trophy?
I don’t see Brownell being fired after this season. It has been one of our better seasons lately. But I really don’t have a strong opinion either way. I have enjoyed more games than not this year, and quite honestly, that is better than most years. I have just learned over the years to temper my hopes when it comes to Clemson basketball.

Participation trophy much? I hope we sneak in, but if we don’t; we have no one to blame but ourselves. Crap schedule. I will admit teams sucking is out of our control. Losing to sucky teams is w/in our control. Getting crushed in the most important game of the year is so Brownell… but carry on.

The Louisville loss falls squarely on Brownell. Didn’t have his team ready to play and he just stood by and watched us jack 3s when things got hard. Seen it too many times

The main reason we lost to Louisville is because they shot lights out and we shot horribly. It happens in basketball.
You’re being naive if you don’t think a loud home environment can make a difference though.

A loud home environment is why it is called a home field advantage. I understand that very well. I’ve said all year it is tough to win on the road in the ACC. Still sounds like a weak excuse to me.

The players make plays. But who puts them in position to make the plays? Who runs the practices and off season program to get them prepared? That's the problem with you people. You just cannot admit Brad Brownell can coach. Just blows my mind.

It's so frustrating, this pattern for Brad. We have horrible results for 3 - 4 years in a row, AD gives Brad 1 more year, and we put out a decent season. Now AD, gives him 4 more years of safety. Pattern repeats.
He is a horrible coach. If team does well, give the credit to the players. His coaching is NOT the reason for any success. Recruiting is horrible too. Just ask the mass of players that transfer what his coaching is like.

23 wins and a fourth-place finish in the ACC do not get you fired. This is a good team. One of the best ever at Clemson. If the Lunatic Fringe gets its way, Clemson basketball will be starting over at ground zero.
